John Stamos and Jodie Sweetin are opening up about the time they needed FBI protection after they received death threats during their "Full House" days.

The 60-year-old "Big Shot" actor appeared on Jodie Sweetin and Andrea Barber's "How Rude, Tanneritos!" podcast, where he opened up about how he received death threats in the 90s.

Sweetin, 41, and Barber, 47, also recalled how security had to set up “metal detectors” before they did a live taping, which was “unheard of back in the early 90s.”

“I could feel like this nervous energy all throughout backstage,” Sweetin said on her iHeartRadio podcast. “And then right before you went out for your intro, John, you did the sign of the cross. And then I think it was Bob [Saget], maybe Dave [Coulier] … who leaned over to you and said, ‘Can I have your parking spot?’”

Stamos then recalled “some deranged idiot” who appeared across the street from Sony, the location where "Full House" was being filmed, which prompted the high security.

The man asked staff where John Stamos was within the building “Because [he was] going to kill [me].”

“Then [the employee] went to get security and then he was gone,” Stamos added.

For his protection, Stamos ended up getting an “FBI agent” who followed him around “24 hours a day.”

Jodie Sweetin, who was just five years old when she first appeared on the hit 90s sitcom, then shared how she also received death threats from men in prison. She also had gotten requests for “specific photos” of herself as a child.

"I had someone who was calling the stage… asking for my mom,” she said on the podcast. “They connected it to my dressing room and they were like, ‘Do you know where your daughter is right now? We have her.’”

“Really creepy stuff,” Sweetin said, adding that she then had a bodyguard at the time to keep her safe. “I had a bodyguard in New York because there was a guy that the FBI was following [who] was trying to kidnap me. It's a weird way to exist.”

The “Big Shot” star, who just turned 60 years old a few weeks ago, battled alcohol addiction for years, which even led to him getting a DUI in 2015, which made headlines. “I had that DUI and I was like, ‘I can’t do this. I’ve got to straighten up,'” Stamos said when promoting his new memoir. “That’s when I was confusing the universe because I’m not a bad person, but I was doing crappy things.”

One year after he had the DUI, he opened up about how much he “regretted” it, acknowledging that he “could have hurt somebody”. “It was really stupid and ignorant of me,” the actor said at the time. “And I hated myself for that. It was a bad, bad thing. So I said to myself, I have to stop this up and down, up and down, I have to.”

Following the DUI, Stamos entered rehab, which he admits was “dark for a little bit,” but “it started to get better”. As he went through rehab, he said he “made a lot of really good friends” which helped him get clean.

“I had a lot waiting for me, and I feel bad because a lot of people don’t, because they burned their lives down,” he added. “Luckily, I had my sisters, but I also had ‘Fuller House’. I got home and I think like a week later, we started ‘Fuller House’.”
