Zay Jones, a wide receiver for the Jacksonville Jaguars, was arrested for a domestic battery causing bodily harm charge earlier this month.

The NFL star allegedly got into an argument with the mother of his child that turned physical, leaving scratch marks on the woman’s neck, consistent with fingerprints.

According to legal documents, the incident took place at a Jacksonville-area condo/apartment at around 2:20 p.m. on Monday, November 13. According to the arrest report, a woman, who is seemingly the mother of Jones’ child, told police that she and the NFL star got into an argument after she told Zay Jones that she was taking their child from Jacksonville back to Orlando.

Certain details of the incident were redacted from the docs, however, it did state that one office noticed “several small scratches” on the woman’s neck “consistent with marks from a fingernail.” The 28-year-old wide receiver was taken into custody around 6 p.m. that same day. He was booked on a domestic battery causing bodily harm charge.
