Megan Fox: Ectopic Pregnancy Wasn't As Hard As Miscarriage With MGK

Megan Fox is opening up about suffering an ectopic pregnancy.
The actress took the opportunity in a recent interview to shed light on the pregnancy complication she faced well before her relationship with fiancé Machine Gun Kelly [MGK].
Despite the pain she felt during that period, Fox insists that it was nothing compared to having a miscarriage with MGK, whom she truly loves.
Megan Fox's Love For MGK Heightened Her Post-Miscarriage Grief
Since its release on November 7, Fox's debut book of poems, "Pretty Boys Are Poisonous" has swiftly become a New York Times bestseller, resonating strongly with women of all ages, sizes, and backgrounds.
However, beyond being pleasantly surprised by the emotional impact her words have had on readers, the book gave the actress a chance to expel her pain. One such pain was the miscarriage she experienced with her MGK, whom she has been with since 2020, and she addressed it with two poignant poems.
Even though she has occasionally talked about losing her unborn daughter, Kelly, when she was ten weeks pregnant in the media, the "Transformers" star delved a little deeper in the interview.
According to the mother of three, her love for the "I Think I'm OKAY" hitmaker intensified the grief she felt after losing their unborn baby girl.
In her words:
"That experience was so much harder than I would've anticipated it being, and I've really analyzed 'why was that? Why was that so difficult for me?' Because when I was younger, I had an ectopic pregnancy. I've had other things that I'm not going to say because God forbid the world will be in an uproar. But I've been through other similar issues, but not with someone who I was so in love with."
The actress added that the "love element" made the miscarriage "really tragic for me and left me with a lot of grief and a lot of suffering." Ultimately, she took a leaf from her man's book and channeled her grief into writing.
"So I put it into a lot of writing. He's written about them in his albums as well, he wrote a couple of songs about the miscarriage. So it just felt like something that I could address publicly because it's been addressed in one way through him, so I have a space to express as well," Fox shared with WWD.
The 37-year-old reflected on her miscarriage in a poem writing, on "an ultrasound of a baby girl at ten weeks and a day," while contemplating the "what-ifs" and the emotional complexities surrounding the miscarriage.
"I want to hold your hand / hear your laugh," she penned in one part, before adding, "but now / I have to say / goodbye." The "Jennifer's Body" star recalled how she imagined holding Kelly "as they rip you from my insides."
"I will pay any price / Tell me please / what is the ransom / for her soul?," the Young Artist Awards nominee pondered.
The Teen Choice Awards Winner's Book Announcement Applauded By Her Partner
Fox initially announced her intent to pour her personal experiences and imaginative creativity into a book in August. For the big news, she uploaded the book's cover which showcased the illustration of a black snake intricately weaving through a pair of lips adorned with a ring in the bottom lip.
In a second slide, she expressed, "These poems were written in an attempt to excise the illness that had taken root in me because of my silence. I've spent my entire life keeping the secrets of men, my body aches from carrying the weight of their sins. My freedom lives in these pages and I hope that my words can inspire others to take back their happiness and their identity by using their voice to illuminate what's been buried, but not forgotten, in the darkness."
Amongst the hundreds of thousands of people who showed their support for Fox's work was her man, who simply commented, "Proud of you 🔥." That message was reiterated by many others, with one person typing, "I'm so glad writing this has set you free. I look forward to all the ways your words will inspire others & myself."
