Marvel star Jonathan Majors appeared in court for the beginning of his trial for misdemeanor assault and harassment charges with a bible in hand and the full support of his girlfriend, Meagan Good.
The actor was seen arriving in court with Good, dressed formally and walking hand in hand. The two started dating two months after Majors was first arrested on the charges and have remained strong despite the actor's legal troubles.
Jonathan Majors' Trial Begins
It's been eight months since Majors was charged with misdemeanor assault and harassment in connection with an alleged domestic dispute with Grace Jabbari. Today, he finally had his first day in court and came in tow with his girlfriend, Meagan Good, while holding a bible, per reports.
The couple was spotted holding hands as they entered the building, braving the camera flashes after getting out of a black vehicle. They reportedly started their relationship sometime around May, almost a year after Good finalized the end of her nine-year marriage to DeVon Franklin.

For the court appearance, Majors chose an all-black formal outfit for the court visit, wearing a long coat, a suit with a tie, and complementing the look with matching sunglasses. On the other hand, Good went for a black ankle-length gown paired with an ash-colored coat.
All The Details About The Charges Against Jonathan Majors
Back in March, police released a statement saying that Majors was involved in a domestic dispute with a 30-year-old female, who was later confirmed to be Grace Jabbari.
"The victim informed police she was assaulted," a rep for the police said at the time, per People. "Officers placed the 33-year-old male into custody without incident. The victim sustained minor injuries to her head and neck and was removed to an area hospital in stable condition."
Two days after his arrest, Majors was charged with multiple misdemeanor counts of assault and harassment. This includes three counts of assault in the third degree, one count of aggravated harassment in the second degree, and three counts of attempted assault in the third degree.
Aside from detailing the charges, the suit filed by the Manhattan District Attorney's office against Majors also mentioned the details of the altercation between the actor and the victim.
It was said that Majors struck her "about the face with an open hand, causing substantial pain and a laceration behind her ear" and that he held her roughly by her hand and neck, "causing bruising and substantial pain."
He Has Lost A Lot Of Opportunities Due To The Allegations
While Majors' innocence is yet to be proven, he has faced a cascade of consequences since his initial arrest. According to reports, the actor has lost numerous opportunities, amounting to millions of dollars, related to movie projects, per Deadline.
He was removed from an upcoming film adaptation of Walter Mosley's 2004 novel, "The Man in My Basement," a project he was set to executive produce. Additionally, negotiations for his role in a biopic about the late musician Otis Redding fell through, and he is no longer being considered for that film. It was also reported that Majors will no longer feature in an advertising campaign for the Texas Rangers MLB team.
Amid the loss of these projects, the public-relations company that represented the "Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania" star chose to sever its ties with him, and the same decision was made by his manager. The actor also stepped down from being a member of the Gotham Film and Media Institute board.
Will Jonathan Majors Take A Plea Deal?
In the meantime, it is likely that the actor will not be accepting a plea deal during the proceedings. It stems from the fact that he has refuted the allegations against him and maintains that he is innocent.
"Jonathan Majors is innocent and has not abused anyone. We have provided irrefutable evidence to the District Attorney that the charges are false. We are confident that he will be fully exonerated," the actor's attorney, Priya Chaudhry, said in a statement to the press.
On the prosecution's side, it appears they will be building their case against Majors with the assistance of multiple alleged abuse victims. According to Variety, several women have come forward since his March arrest and are cooperating with Majors' prosecutors.
