Selena Gomez In String Bikini Shares Mirror View Of 'Normal Body'

Selena Gomez gained high praise as her bikini selfie went viral back in 2021. The 31-year-old singer and actress shut down the body shamers with a gorgeous photo of her healthy curves, posing in front of a large mirror and modeling a multi-banded, multicolor swimsuit from brand LaMariette.

Sizzling with her killer figure on show, Selena opted out of any edits or filters, instead showing her natural beauty and, as a fan commented, a "normal body." Selena had made headlines for her selfie both for showcasing her down-to-earth side and for debuting blonde locks. The fan account reposting the shot, however, gushed over the former.

Drawing attention to her toned midriff via plenty of horizontal fabric bands, the "Wolves" hitmaker also flashed her shapely hips and assets as she went low-cut in her purple and pink number. Opting for floral prints that added in pops or orange, Selena exuded summer babe vibes, also looking ready to hit the pool. She posed indoors and in front of rows of makeup brushes and various bric-a-brac. Cocking her head to the side a little, the ex to Justin Bieber also flaunted a golden tan as she went low-key with a little matte foundation.

Gomez peeped hints of a backyard pool behind her. Her adoring fan reminded viewers of the unrealistic beauty standards celebrities are often accused of promoting.

"Selena Gomez is so amazing for doing a bikini shoot with a normal body instead of photoshopping like most models and trying to fit in with the beauty standards," they wrote, adding: "Selena Gomez’s Iconic Spanish EP 'Revelación' is OUT NOW, Link In Bio!"

"She's a real beauty," one fan quickly replied. "I think she looks smokin’!!" another said. Selena is known for fluctuating weight, something she puts down to the medication she takes to manage her Lupus condition.

Selena shared several shots from the LaMariette shoot to her Instagram. The star has made 2023 headlines for seeing her fanbase shoot up, and she's now the most-followed woman on the platform. In March of this year, and while her following was climbing in the wake of her drama with model Hailey Bieber, Selena celebrated International Women's Day, sharing a message to her younger self.
