She claimed that her Tesla parked itself when she dozed off at the wheel. However, she was blocking a portion of the street, which caught the attention of the authorities. As we reported, Haddish was seen handcuffed by Beverly Hills police officers early Friday morning around 5:45 am.

The Los Angeles native was allegedly slumped over with the engine running, drawing the attention of a concerned bystander who called the police. Her vehicle was at a halt in the middle of Beverly Drive. She was immediately handcuffed and taken to the station when the police officers arrived on the scene.

She was charged on suspicion of driving under the influence and later released. This was not Haddish's first DUI charge, as she was arrested for the same thing in January 2022.

The trial for the 2022 DUI case is set to start on December 4, where Haddish will appear in court. Despite the severity of the cases, the comedian has resorted to doing what she knows best — making jokes — about the arrest.

Less than 24 hours after landing in police custody, Haddish took the stage to deliver laughs during an appearance at Long Beach’s Laugh Factory. When an audience member asked about the events of "last night," the 43-year-old joked about how the incident resulted in her prayers for a man in uniform getting answered, causing the crowd to lose it.

Tiffany Haddish's Loved Ones Are Concerned For Her Well-being

Despite the Emmy Award winner making light of her second arrest, sources claim the reverse is true for her family and friends, who are deeply concerned about her well-being.

The insider told Page Six that Haddish's loved ones believe she is hiding her real feelings behind a "fake smile." Hence, her need to poke fun at her arrest during a performance.

"Tiffany likes to drink and have a good time, but her friends are noticing that she is drinking way more around the holidays," the source claimed. "We think that she may be lonely and hiding behind a fake smile."

The informant continued, "It's surprising because she has worked so hard to get to where she is. She has always spoken about her hardships about being broke, homeless, and living in her car. But now that she has found the success she has always dreamed of, new demons are coming to the surface in the form of alcohol."

The source added, "We love the fact that she can move on from this and turn this life situation into a part of her comedy routine. But we are concerned."

Haddish has been candid about her struggles with fertility and her breakup with actor and singer Common. The pair were together for about a year before ending things in November 2021.

Although Common described the split as "mutual," Haddish denied it during an interview with the Washington Post, saying, "It was more him saying, 'I think this relationship has run its course.' And I was like, 'OK. Like, you gonna be a 50-year-old single man. OK?'
