Excitement erupted on social media after many of Taylor Swift's fans caught her "lurking"!
The pop star had double-tapped a post from the Kansas City Chiefs' official account containing an image of her beau, Travis Kelce, on the field. To Swifties, the action meant that Swift was showing support for the tight end, and they showcased their approval in the comments section.
Fans Went Into A Frenzy After Taylor Swift Liked A Post About Travis Kelce
After they secured their 31-17 victory against the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday, the Chiefs marked the achievement of Kelce breaking a sports record. For the significant post, the sports team opted for a picture of the 34-year-old donning his number 87 jersey, red bottoms, and protective gear.
The American football player's hands, hidden by a pair of green gloves, were raised as if the camera had caught him reacting to something happening before him. The Chiefs wrote of him:
"Fastest tight end to 11k receiving yards AND the only player in franchise history to do it 🏹."
Once it became known that Swift liked the celebratory Instagram post, fans flooded the comments section with glee at seeing her supportiveness. "Trav.. 😍🔥👏 Also Tay liking this post ... So supportive…🥺🙂," one person gushed, while another excitedly exclaimed, "Taylor, we see you 👀 lurking 🙈."
Another commenter excitedly exclaimed, "TAYLOR SWIFT LIKED IT .. TAYLOR SWIFT IS COMING HOME.. 🫶🥰🥹," and a third emphasized, "TAYLOR SWIFT LIKED."
A fifth fan pointed out, "The legendary Taylor Swift has liked this post," while a sixth wondered, "This has been post 2 hours ago and Taylor Swift gave it a like that fast? She was singing in São Paulo."
A seventh Instagram user declared, "Taylor liking this oh she's so down bad 😍," and a seventh chimed in, "Taylor is coming to claim her man 🔥❤️." Meanwhile, this commenter took a lyric from Swift's song, writing:
"Shake It Off," writing, "And the haters gonna hate, hate, hate, hate, hate 🎵🎶🎼🎥❤️❤️❤️ You go @killatrav ! 🔥The most important thing is to enjoy your life--to be happy-it's all that matters."
Kelce's on-field accomplishment comes after he marked another milestone at the debut National Football League game in Frankfurt, Germany, earlier this month. Per The Blast, the Chiefs effectively resisted the Miami Dolphins' comeback attempt in the second half of the game, securing a 21-14 victory at Deutsche Bank Park.

Notably, Kansas City advanced their record to 7-2, Miami's record declined to 6-3, and Kelce finished the game with 14 yards from three catches, elevating his career total receiving yards to 10,941.
Thanks to that record, the athlete surpassed Hall of Famer and former tight end Tony Gonzalez's previous record 10,940. He is officially recognized as the all-time leading receiver in Chiefs franchise history.
Despite the win, many are still holding on to the "Swift statistic," suggesting that when his girlfriend attends Chiefs games, Kelce averages more than double the yards compared to when she is not present.
In this instance, however, the "Back to December" singer was not in the country to support the NFL team and her partner.
Taylor Swift Met With Late Fan's Loved Ones During Her Tour
Apart from publicly rooting for Kelce, Swift had also extended her support to the loved ones of Ana Clara Benevides Machado, the 23-year-old Swiftie who tragically died due to cardiac arrest in extreme heat amid the performer's concert in Rio de Janeiro.
In the aftermath of Machado's untimely passing, the Nashville native reportedly extended an invitation to her family and friends to attend her Sao Paulo performance.

Footage posted via X captured Machado's loved ones gathered in a VIP area under a tent at the Allianz Parque stadium, all wearing white T-shirts featuring their baby girl's face. After the show, they had the chance to meet with the Billboard Touring Awards winner and they posed for a group shot together.
Swift had initially responded to the news of the Swiftie's demise with a heartfelt message shared on her Instagram Story. In the handwritten note, she began:
"I can't believe I'm writing these words, but it's with a shattered heart that I say we lost a fan earlier tonight before my show. I can't even tell you how devastated I am by this. There's very little information I have other than the fact she was so incredibly beautiful and far too young."
Focusing on those most hurt by the event, the Country Music Awards of Australia penned, "I'm not going to be able to speak about this from the stage because I feel overwhelmed by grief when I even try to talk about it. I want to say now I feel this loss deeply and my heart goes out to her family and friends. This is the last thing I ever thought would happen when we decided to bring this tour to Brazil."
