Prince Harry is reportedly "ready to forget" his feud with the royal family in an attempt to reconcile before Christmas. This revelation comes amid news of his and his wife, Meghan Markle's "warm" phone call with his father, King Charles III, on his 75th birthday.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex's biographer, Omid Scobie, wrote about the family's disputes in his book, "Endgame." He stated that Meghan may never visit England again due to how the royal family received her.
Prince Harry Is 'Ready' To Forget About Row With Royal Family
Amid hopes of a reunion, Harry is allegedly open to "forgetting" his row with the royal family before Christmas. Scobie, the Duke's biographer, wrote about this in his book.
Excerpts from the book, published in a French magazine, note that Harry once said, "I'm ready to forget. Get an apology or explanation? At this point, who cares, right?"
The Duke of Sussex previously expressed his interest in getting an apology from the royal family regarding how they behaved towards Meghan. He had wanted them to understand the struggles she was allegedly facing, which led them to step down from their roles as senior royals.
According to the Mirror, the French article shared other excerpts from "Endgame," including that the Sussexes still send photos and updates of their kids, Archie and Lilibet, to the royal family despite their current rift.
Harry and Meghan's recent birthday phone call with his father, King Charles, is now seen by many as the pair's attempt to build back bridges with the royal family.
Meghan Markle May Never Visit Buckingham Palace Again
Scobie details the Duke and Duchess's relationship with the royal family in "Endgame," which is yet to be officially released.
Despite his claim that Harry intends to "forget" the feud with his family, Scobie alleged that Meghan may never visit England following her experience there.
He explained that Meghan "never felt at home" at the palace and in England. Therefore, she wouldn't think of returning. The writer's claim contradicts speculations and reports that the Duchess wouldn't reject an invitation to the palace for the holidays.
An insider said similarly to TheSunday Times that she wouldn't be able to turn down an invitation from Buckingham. They noted, "I can't imagine the Sussexes would decline an invitation to spend time with His Majesty. As of yet, there have not been any invitations for the holidays."
Omid Scobie Has Been Tagged Harry & Meghan's 'Mouthpiece'
After some excerpts of Scobie's new book were revealed, fellow royal experts called out the author for worsening the issues between the Sussexes and the royal family. The author was also dubbed Harry and Meghan's "mouthpiece" as he seemed to get information from the couple about issues.
Journalist and fellow Royal author Phil Dampier noted to the Daily Mail that the new information included in "Endgame" may upset the royal family and ruin any chance of a reconciliation between them and the Sussexes.
He said, "We all know that Scobie is their mouthpiece and he gets his information directly or indirectly from the Sussexes, so anything which is hurtful to Charles, Camilla or William and Kate, will just make things much worse. Let's put it this way - I can't see Harry and Meghan coming over for a family Christmas."
Harry's Relationship With William Is Allegedly Beyond Repair
Scobie discussed other royal family members in his book. He commented on Harry's relationship with his brother William, noting that they didn't stand a chance at a reconciliation. He previously shared a part of his book with People Magazine where he claimed there was "no going back" for either of the brothers.
He added that very little had changed since Harry first wrote about details of his relationship with William in "Spare." In the book, Harry accused his brother of several wrongdoings, including assault. He noted that they physically fought over William's allegedly disrespectful comment at Meghan.
The Duke also went into detail about other royal family members like his "evil stepmother," Queen Camilla, and Willam's wife, Kate Middleton. According to royal experts, his comments about Kate contribute to the several reasons why William is reluctant to mend things between himself and his little brother.
