Hollywood star Brad Pitt is reportedly unfazed by recent headlines calling him a "world-class a-----" in a resurfaced social media post by his son, Pax Jolie-Pitt.
An initial report alleged that the actor felt "depressed" and "frustrated," but a conflicting insider asserts that Pitt had "no reaction" to the post.
This follows Pax's Father's Day message from 2020, where he accused Pitt of being terrible. Pitt, who faced past abuse accusations from ex Angelina Jolie, maintains innocence.
Brad Pitt Had 'No Reaction' To Son Pax's Resurfaced Social Media Post
According to a source who spoke to Page Six, the "Once Upon A Time In Hollywood" actor had "no reaction" to recent reports on his adopted son Pax's unearthed Father's Day post, which labeled him a "world-class a-----."
An initial source who spoke to The Sun described the 59-year-old as "depressed" and "frustrated," stating: "It's frustrating to see Brad being painted as some kind of 'bad person' when it's far from the truth."
In contrast, a different insider claimed that Pitt had no emotional response to the social media post. The insider said: "This is just unfortunate that people would keep trying to bring kids into things. It's been a long seven years and it's unfortunate when people unnecessarily raise issues from so far in the past … and don't take into consideration the impact it has on the whole family."
The source also emphasized Pitt's commitment to maintaining silence on matters relating to his children and his legal battle with his ex-wife, Angelina Jolie.
Pax Calls Dad An 'Awful Human Being' In Father's Day Rant
The conflicting source statement follows the circulation of screenshots from Pax's alleged private Instagram account, revealing a scathing Father's Day post from 2020.
According to the Daily Mail, the post that the then-16-year-old Pax allegedly penned read: "Happy Father's Day to this world class a----!! You time and time again prove yourself to be a terrible and despicable person."
The message continued: "You have no consideration or empathy toward your four youngest children who tremble in fear when in your presence. You will never understand the damage you have done to my family because you're incapable of doing so."
Pax also allegedly accused Pitt of making "the lives of those closest" to him "a constant hell." The post concludes with a harsh assessment of Pitt as an "awful human being."
It read, "You may tell yourself and the world whatever you want, but the truth will come to light someday. So, Happy Father's Day, you f----- awful human being!!!"
Brad Pitt Cleared Of Wrongdoing In Infamous Plane Fight
Brad Pitt is the father of six children with his ex-wife Jolie. In 2016, Jolie accused the "Bullet Train" actor of physical and verbal abuse during a 2016 plane ride, alleging he "choked one of the children and struck another in the face" and "grabbed [her] by the head and shook her," according to court documents from October 2022.
However, despite the accusations, Pitt has consistently maintained his innocence. The FBI and Los Angeles Department of Children and Family Services also investigated the child abuse claims following the infamous plane fight but decided not to pursue criminal charges. Following the alleged plane incident, the "Maleficient" star filed for divorce.
Brad Pitt's Relationship With His Children Under Scrutiny
The status of Pitt's relationship with his children faced scrutiny recently when Zahara opted not to include "Pitt" in her name during her Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority induction at Spelman College. During the introduction, the 18-year-old introduced herself as "Zahara Marley Jolie," pointedly omitting Pitt's name.
In another situation in 2021, sources revealed that Maddox, another of Pitt and Jolie's children, "doesn't use Pitt as his last name on documents that aren't legal and instead uses Jolie." The insider also expressed that Maddox "wants to legally change his last name to Jolie, which Angelina has said she doesn't support."
According to an insider who spoke to US Weekly in 2019, Pitt's connection with his adopted son, Maddox, remains complex, and the actor reportedly feels a sense of disappointment over their distant relationship.
Despite Jolie's alleged attempts to reconcile them, the source claimed that "Maddox hasn't been receptive, and for Brad, it's a tremendous loss." However, the source added that the film producer is "hopeful that Pax will also be interested in reconnecting without the influence of his older brother."
