Pop star Britney Spears has finally paid off the traffic ticket she received after the exchange with police was all caught on video.
The 41-year-old pop star was cited with a fine of $327 for crossing the double yellow lines while driving. The fine was due on Tuesday, November 21, 2023, and the "Toxic" singer paid it right on the deadline.
Britney Spears Pays Off Her Traffic Violation Right On Time
On October 6, Britney was pulled over for crossing the double yellow lines. California Highway Patrol slapped her with a $327 citation that she finally paid on Tuesday, November 21, which was the day that it was due. The total bill was for $332, likely caused by a $5 fee.
It seems like small pennies to the pop star, who has profited majorly from the release of her memoir, “The Woman In Me.” The tell-all book sold over 1.1 million copies in the first week of release and topped the New York Times bestseller list.
Unfortunately, this isn’t Britney’s only parking violation in recent history. She had to pay a $1,140 fine for a previous citation on September 10, when she was pulled over for going 61 in a 41 mph zone. As The Blast previously reported, she didn’t have a license or insurance in her vehicle when she was pulled over.

She does have these documents, of course, but they were not with her in the vehicle at the time that she was pulled over. These documents are usually held by her security personnel for her own protection, but it’s not clear why they weren’t with her at the time she was pulled over.
Footage of both stops made their way online and has been heavily circulated throughout X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter. Although some fans felt that the police were “harassing” the “Oops!... I Did It Again” singer, others felt that it made Britney that much more relatable.
Although the footage made its way online at the end of October, it seems that the pop star only recently caught wind of it. On Monday night, the "Toxic" singer took to Instagram to call out the way that the police had "demoralized" her after they pulled her over.
Britney Calls Out The Cop That Pulled Her Over

On Monday, the Princess of Pop shared a throwback photo that featured her holding one of her sons in what appears to be a pumpkin patch. In the caption, she wrote, “He says ‘Mamma !!! Is that you !?? Are you gonna let a cop pull you over and talk s— to you ???? Is it even allowed to demoralize and talk s— to a woman while taping you, mamma ???’ I’m honestly like America … I DON’T KNOW YALL !!!”
It’s a bit unclear if Britney was talking about the footage of the traffic stop that made its way online or if she was pulled over on Saturday when she and her longtime manager Cade Hudson were spotted out and about getting a bite to eat at the Chateau Marmont in West Hollywood.
Unfortunately, this also is not the first time that Britney has called out the cops for disrespecting her. Earlier this year, after her Instagram knife dancing video went viral, she took to Instagram to call the police a "joke" after they performed a welfare check at her house.

In the caption of her initial Instagram post, Britney asked, “Is it a joke in the news again with welfare checks??? Come on America … we're cooler than that, right ??? The officers came to my home and said they would not leave until they spoke to me as people do 4-minute performances with them.”
She then went on to say, “I am getting an apology,” before adding, “I’ve been bullied in my home for so long now..ITS ENOUGH! Don’t talk about it, come on, let’s DO !!! As my mom does the silent treatment when paps ask questions about her own daughter as if I’m in the wrong…nope it’s an old game. People need to be responsible for their actions! It’s about power for cops.”
However, she later changed her caption slightly. “So unacceptable for cops to listen to random fans and come into my home unwarranted … Jesus Christ … can I make calls and make others feel threatened in your home ???” she wrote at the beginning of her new caption. “The officers came to my home and said they would not leave until they spoke to me as people did 4-minute performances with knives.”
