Melissa Joan Hart Remembers Her Partying Days
Hart, a beloved figure of the 90s, graced television screens with her roles in wholesome sitcoms like "Clarissa Explains It All" and "Sabrina, the Teenage Witch."
Despite her established good-girl image, Hart reveals that her 20s were marked by some wild nights. In an episode of "Oprah: Where Are They Now?" she opened up about "the craziest thing" she experienced during her partying phase.
"I did 'Sabrina' from [ages] 20 to 27," the actress said in a 2013 interview. "And yeah, at the beginning, it was my first time really hanging out in L.A., and starting to make my own money, bought my own house, starting to go out and party and do all this crazy fun stuff -- and just really enjoying my life as an adult for the first time."
Hart graced the cover of Maxim magazine, but she admits she wasn't exactly ready for the all-day shoot.
"I'd been to the Playboy Mansion the night before and had a little too much fun, explored a little too much of that Playboy Mansion," she revealed.

Hart initially recounted the wild night in her book, "Melissa Explains It All," disclosing that she indulged in ecstasy at the party and engaged in intimate activities with another girl during the limo ride home.
"And so the next morning I rolled up to the photo shoot and I was pretty hungover and coming down," Hart recalled. "And here I was, having a full day of ... hair extensions and bikinis, and I was not prepared for it -- so that was probably the least professional I've ever been in my career."
Melissa Joan Hart Almost Got Fired From A TV Show!
During the summer, Hart surprised fans by disclosing that she was on the brink of being fired from "Sabrina the Teenage Witch."
The revelation came after a controversial Maxim magazine cover shoot at the age of 23, where she appeared mostly naked beneath a bedsheet. Her shoot led to contractual concerns, and although the issue was resolved with an apology letter from the actress, it ultimately prompted her to decline an offer from Playboy magazine. This decision was driven by her commitment to protecting her family.
"There's a good reason why I never did like Playboy or anything like that, because when Maxim came out, my brother, who at the time was a teenager, and my father were kind of tortured by people showing -- shoving it in their faces," Hart told Fox News Digital.
She reminisced about how her brother and father both questioned her decision to do the cover.
"So, when Playboy came around and asked, I was like, 'Nah. I'm not going to do that to them.' And thank God, because now I have boys," Hart said of her three sons with her husband of 20 years, Mark Wilkerson.
"My siblings have always been my sort of, my guiding light. … What do I want to portray for them? And, you know, I don't want to embarrass them," she explained. "I don't want to hurt them. I want to be able to share things with them. So, you know, I've always kind of built my career based around my siblings, which then leads to my children. Right? So, kind of in a careful way of crafting things so that, you know, I never am embarrassed about anything I've done or said or shown."
