In a recent interview, Gwyneth Paltrow shared that her connection with her husband, Brad Falchuk, stems from his similarities to her late father, Bruce Paltrow.

She described Falchuk as having traits reminiscent of her dad, emphasizing qualities like being "blue-eyed, Jewish, a TV writer, with a heart of gold and a great sense of humor." The couple celebrated their fifth anniversary in September. Falchuk praised Paltrow as the "perfect wife."

During a chat with People magazine, Paltrow shared insights into her connection with her husband Falchuk, expressing that she fell in love with him because of his resemblance with her late father, Bruce Paltrow.

The 51-year-old actress described Falchuk as having qualities reminiscent of her dad, who passed away in 2002 from pneumonia and complications of oral cancer.

Paltrow highlighted the shared traits, describing Falchuk as a "blue-eyed, Jewish, TV writer, with a heart of gold and a great sense of humor." 

She humorously noted, "I finally chose my dad."

Paltrow and Falchuk exchanged vows in 2018 and marked their fifth wedding anniversary in September.

During the interview, the co-creator of popular TV shows, such as "American Horror Story" and "Glee," also praised Paltrow as "the perfect wife," emphasizing her supportive and enthusiastic nature. 

He explained: "If she loves you, she is your champion. You doing well feels as good to her as her doing well. She literally screams when she hears good news from someone."

The Goop founder reciprocated the admiration, sharing that her husband is a fan of her Goop products, especially the shampoo. She recounted his delight at the product: "He loves the shampoo. This summer he tried it for the first time, and he's like, 'This shampoo is incredible. Look how soft and shiny my hair is.' I was like, 'I cannot believe I did not video that.'"

Before tying the knot with Falchuk in 2018, Paltrow was previously married to Coldplay's Chris Martin in a decade-long union before finalizing their divorce in 2016. 

Paltrow and Martin shared two children: Apple, 19, and Moses, 17. Falchuk also has two kids from his previous marriage, Isabella, 19, and Brody, 17.

During her People interview, Paltrow admitted that having a blended family, especially with four teenagers, poses challenges. Nevertheless, she reflected on the joy it brings: "It's hard, and it's not intuitive, and nobody tells you how to do it. You just stick with it," she said. "Now it's one of the things that brings me the most happiness in my life."

However, with Apple in college and Moses in his senior high school year, the Oscar-winning actress acknowledged facing an impending empty nest. 

"I'm trying to reframe it so that I can at least try to convince myself there's some kind of a silver lining," Paltrow noted. "Empty nest sounds so sad and lonely."

She added: "I believe that life, especially for women, comes in chapters. This is really going to be a new chapter for me."

Paltrow admitted that she anticipated a slower pace in her 50s, only to discover a busier reality. "I had the erroneous idea that I would be able to downshift a little bit," she revealed. "But life is very full-on. It's been very intense."

Paltrow's latest venture, a skincare brand - Good.Clean.Goop adds to her packed schedule. This skincare, body care, and wellness line, available at Target and Amazon, reflects her commitment to offering clean, effective products at a more accessible price.

She explained the vision behind good.clean.goop, saying: "We felt passionate about creating clean, efficacious products at a more accessible price for a broader audience." 

The actress added, "They call it 'masstige' in the industry. I love that word, between 'mass' and 'prestige.' So we set out to create this, and it's been so much fun."
