Actor Matthew Perry's toxicology report is reportedly "finished," but it might still take a couple of weeks before release as the toxicologists look for an "unknown drug."

A former medical examiner confirmed that the toxicologists have already gotten "99%" of what they need to get as far as "information goes."

The late "Friends" star's cause of death was recorded as "deferred" and pending further investigation. His recent death certificate confirmed this report.

According to former chief medical examiner of New York City, Dr. Michael Baden, Perry's toxicology report is finished. He noted that going by the information allegedly leaked by law enforcement, a full report on the late actor should be expected anytime soon.

"They've got pretty much 99% of what they're going to get at this point as far as information goes, and they can release it now, or they can wait for a couple more weeks because they're looking for some unknown drug," the doctor said in an interview with Fox News Digital.

Perry passed away on October 28 at the age of 54. His body was found in a hot tub at his home in Los Angeles. Previous reports revealed that no illegal drugs were found around the Perry, but there were anti-depressants and anti-anxiety medications in the house.

Initial findings, per TMZ, also showed that there was no fentanyl or meth present in Perry's system at the time of his death.

Dr. Baden believes the only thing delaying the report is the search for an "unknown drug," which could take a "couple more weeks."

"They might be doing microscopic slides, but it's now about almost two weeks, so the toxicology should be finished," Baden added. "I imagine what they’re doing right now is discussing the findings with the prosecutor and the family, and that in good time it will be when they should release the findings."

At the moment, the exact location of Perry's burial plot has been kept confidential. According to TMZ, this decision to keep his burial plot private is because of the high-profile people buried near Perry.

Stars such as Debbie Reynolds, Michael Clarke Duncan, Carrie Fisher, Ronnie James Dio, and other notable celebrities were laid to rest at the same cemetery.

The "Fools Rush In" actor's grave is unmarked and has yet to receive an official headstone, but this is usually done at a later date after the burial.

To further ensure privacy, a large memorial flower arrangement placed at his gravesite following his memorial service was removed on Tuesday, leaving his burial plot bare.

"We are all so utterly devastated by the loss of Matthew. We were more than just cast mates. We are a family," their statement read. "There is so much to say, but right now we’re going to take a moment to grieve and process this unfathomable loss."

It continued, "In time we will say more, as and when we are able. For now, our thoughts and our love are with Matty’s family, his friends, and everyone who loved him around the world."

Reports claim that Cox and Aniston have taken the loss the hardest among the five. A source told Page Six, "Out of the remaining five, Jen and Courtney [Cox] are reeling the most, and Jen is probably the one who is struggling most acutely."
