'Kenan & Kel' Star Kel Mitchell Breaks Silence On 'Frightening' Hospitalization

Kel Mitchell, known for his roles in "Good Burger" and "Kenan & Kel" has broken his silence regarding his mysterious hospitalization earlier this week.
The actor took to social media to give an update to his fans, stating that he is "grateful for the flood of prayers and positive vibes" and he is "on the road to recovery."

The "Good Burger" star broke his silence a few days after it was reported that he was admitted to the hospital after being rushed into the emergency room.
"Grateful for the flood of prayers and positive vibes that surrounded me during a genuinely frightening time," he began to write on Instagram.
"The scare was real, but so was the support," he added.

The Blast reported yesterday that the actor was admitted to a hospital in the L.A. area on Tuesday night, where he arrived through the emergency room. Mitchell appeared to be conscious and alert when he got into the hospital.
"With the grace of God and the skill of the medical team, I'm no on the road to recovery at home, embraced by the love of my family," Mitchell continued to write on social media.
He concluded with, "Your kindness has been a lifeline, and I can't thank you enough. Much love to each of you."
Although the "Good Burger" actor did not go into detail about what exactly had happened, it is great to hear that he is on the road to recovery and is back home with his family.
Fans immediately flooded the comments section to share their prayers for the actor. "We pray over you Kel, that the enemy has no strongholds over you," one fan wrote, adding, "That the blood of Jesus covers you and that you are ordained by God, chosen to the calling He has assigned to you."
Another chimed in with, "Glad youâre feeling better my brother â„ïžđȘđŸ."
Kel Mitchell On His Relationship With Kenan Thompson
Mitchell has an upcoming âCelebrity Squaresâ appearance, though this was pre-taped, as well as Paramount+âs upcoming âGood Burger 2,â in which he will reprise his role as Ed, a cashier at the fast food restaurant, alongside his friend and co-worker Dexter Reed, played by Kenan Thompson.
When speaking on his relationship with Thompson, the "Kenan & Kel" actor stated, âI feel like itâs a brotherhood. We just get one another. Our comedy gels together very well and we just understand each other.â
He added, âItâs just cool seeing us as adults and being dads and all this cool stuff where we can relate on and then talk about from when we were kids to now. Weâve known each other since â94, so itâs almost like 30 years. Itâs crazy.
Kel Mitchel Talks 'Good Burger 2'
The âGood Burgerâ sketch from Nickelodeonâs âAll Thatâ was such a huge success, that it was turned into a full-length feature film â and the good news for 90s kids, is that a sequel is in the works!
âAs far as Kenan and I, weâve been wanting this to happen since the first one,â Kel told HollywoodLife in regard to the confirmed second âGood Burgerâ movie. âBut weâve known about the process of this for a long time. Weâre super excited now that the burgers are back and everybody knows whatâs happening. Itâs going to be a great, great script. Thatâs the thing that we really wanted. We wanted the script to be fun for the fans of the â90s and the kids today.â
âGood Burger 2â is expected to premiere later this year.
