The guy who murdered his ex-wife inside a crowded mall and then attempted to commit suicide has Hollywood connections and has sold houses to some major players in hip-hop.
33-year-old Kevin Crane is currently in critical condition after Saturday's incident when he walked into the Thousand Oaks mall in Southern California and shot his 29-year-old ex-wife while she worked at a retail store. He then turned the gun upon himself, but survived the shot.
Crane is a realtor in Beverly Hills, and according to sources familiar with the situation, he specializes in dealing with hip-hop clients.

He represented Big Sean when the rapper bought Slash's old mansion, and he has also worked with Lil Twist.
In fact, Crane was scheduled last month to show Travis Scott a home while the rapper looks for a permanent residence in Los Angeles, but Scott bailed because Kylie Jenner had gone into labor.
We're also told Crane was in the early stages of talks to be a part of a new reality show based on hip-hop stars moving to Los Angeles and buying luxury property.
Sources tell us that people close to Crane are in shock because he showed no signs of outward emotion that he was going through a difficult time.
Crane and his late ex-wife have two children together, the investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
