The 72-year-old reportedly felt light-headed after receiving an essential vitamins and nutrients IV at home. Things went south as soon as the procedure, which was meant to go straight into her bloodstream, ended, and she requested to lie down due to increased breathing.

Her reaction prompted her son, Ray J, to call for an ambulance, after which she was taken to the hospital and subsequently discharged upon treatment. The intravenous therapy administered to her was a mix of Vitamins C, B, calcium, and magnesium, which was meant to boost her immune system.

However, the side effects of this treatment involve infections, rashes, blood clots, air embolism, and a host of others. Per TMZ, Sonja is not the only celeb to have suffered a bad reaction after the treatment. In 2018, Kendall Jenner was also rushed to the emergency room following her reaction to the vitamin drip.

The entertainment mogul has been in the game for over two decades and has worked with her two children, Brandy and Ray J. She later became the CEO of Norwood & Norwood Entertainment, which she ran alongside her husband Willie.

Together, they managed talents like Silk and Bebe Winans and most recently co-created the "Brandy & Ray J: A Family Business" reality show that aired on VH1 alongside another hit show titled "For the Love of Ray J."

However, she took things a step further in 2019 by launching the Norwood Talent Agency, which housed 62 bubbling talent. The company is also co-owned by Brandy's dad, Willie Norwood, and entertainment guru Rayva Harrell, who was the brain behind Nickelodeon's "All That" and "The Steve Harvey Morning Show."

The company began operations in March 2019 and has recorded impressive bookings like a feature film role for Orlando Brown of "That's So Raven." The mom of two revealed to Backstage that she hoped "to build the agency and develop a great children's department for commercial, film, and voiceover work." She further explained

"We're looking to represent actors and actresses and hope to get some triple threats -- singers, actors and dancers -- on our roster. I'm really interested in finding those diamonds in the rough with untapped raw talent."

Sonja continued that she treats her clients like her family and makes sure each one has the opportunity. The whole process has been a learning curve for the celeb, who added:

"I've been lucky enough to have other agencies give me some pointers but I'm always trying to continuously educate myself."
