TikTokers Aren't Buying Airplane Lady's Explanation Of Her 'Not Real' Outburst

"I'm telling you right now..."
Did you read that in Tiffany Gomas' voice? If you did, you're going to want to hear her explanation for the viral outburst she had on an American Airlines flight back in July. Gomas was a guest on a recent episode of the "Pardon My Take" podcast and spilled the tea about the flight that didn't happen for her and why she caused such a scene.
Viral Crazy Plane Lady Finally Speaks About The July 2 Incident On American Airlines Flight
It was like a scene straight out of a "Final Destination" movie when Gomas had a complete meltdown while trying to get off of the plane shortly after boarding. She was screaming and pointing at a "not real" passenger that left the internet talking, with some saying maybe she was under the influence, others saying she was having a mental health crisis, and others who believed that something "not real" was in fact taunting her.
Gomas is finally putting all those theories to rest by speaking up. Or is she? Her explanation of the reason her viral moment happened is making the chatter on the internet even louder, and even more confused.
"It's been very wild. I don't even know how to explain it, honestly. There's like no playbook to going viral. I'm just a normal person, contrary to what people think," she said on the podcast. "After this all went viral, yeah, my life did change. I chilled for a little bit. I didn't come out of my house for over four weeks. Literally blinds down, everything."
Gomas explained that while many people think she got arrested, she did not. And she had already left the airport when a citation was issued so the talk about her refusing to sign anything is also not true.
"I'm in the Uber calling my mom, like, this is bad. I'm like, 'I'm gonna go viral tomorrow.' I just knew what a fool I acted. I just knew I was going viral," she continued. "I'm not dumb to realize what's gonna happen. By the time I got home, I'm like literally a crazy person, not literally, searching American Airlines on TikTok. I know it's gonna come out and I'm freaking out inside. Talk about anxiety, way more anxiety than I had in the moment."
Gomas got on another flight the next morning because she was going on a family cruise. At that point, only her mom knew the insanity that just went down.
"But that night, I literally got off of all social media. I deactivated every account, deleted every photo," she said. "The only photo they can find is like 10 or 12 years old."
She further explained that could be the reason many people say she's not the same person who had the meltdown, and she's totally "cool" with people not believing it's her because it wasn't her "best moment."
So Just What Did She See To Make Her Start Screaming Her Now Famous Line?
Gomas finally got to answering the question on everyone's mind - what caused her to have her now famous outburst? Did she see an alien? A shape shifter? Or was it something totally different? The answer might disappoint many.
"The conspiracy theories are really good. I'm not gonna lie. They're really entertaining to listen to," she said. "The reason I probably hadn't come out yet, cause it's so cringe, I didn't not see anything. I mean, I think you all knew that."
She claims that she never said she saw anything "not real."
"Got in a bit of an altercation, it spiraled out of control, it's not my best moment. It's actually a horrible moment," she explained.
She claims what she screamed out - "That motherf----- is not real" is an "expression of speech," and she was just in her "feels" and "highly distressed." She gave up her aisle seat for a middle seat and there was a "really bad energy" and that's what caused her meltdown.
She's now wondering why her viral moment is living on so strongly despite all the other crazy things that have happened on planes since her outburst. While she said it was embarrassing at first, she's now finding the humor in it all, which is why she's now speaking out on the incident, months later.
TikTokers Have Some Things To Say About Tiffany Gomas' Explanation
The "Pardon My Take" podcast shared a clip of their interview with Gomas on TikTok and many viewers had something to say about her big reveal, with many saying they still don't believe she's the crazy airplane lady and others saying she's lying to cover something up.
"And I am telling youuu RIGHT NOW she’s not the real airplane girl," one person wrote. Another said, "Nah she's lying.... After the fact she said that plane shouldn't take off."
One viewer wanted to know, "I wonder why she decided to do a podcast when she didn’t want to give any details," while another asked, "What about the body cam footage of her saying that the plane was gonna go down?"
One TikToker shared, "So where’s the guy she was arguing with," which brings up a good question as to why that guy hasn't surfaced online yet to tell his side of the story.
With more than 10,000 comments on the TikTok clip of her explanation basically saying they're not buying it, there may never be a reveal of just what happened that day that will make everyone satisfied.
