Sam Asghari Fans Joke ‘He’s Running From’ Britney Spears In New Photos

Actor Sam Asghari may have filed for divorce from pop star Britney Spears in August 2023, but that doesn’t mean that fans have stopped talking about it.

The 29-year-old actor took to Instagram on Thursday night in order to share a few photos, including one that featured him running barefoot along the beach in a black overcoat. Although some fans liked the way he looked, others were more interested in commenting on the divorce.

The “Special Ops: Lioness” actor shared four photos that featured him running barefoot on the beach with his Instagram followers. He captured the share “forward & upward” along with the emoji of a person running, but fans were more interested in calling out Sam for the divorce.

“He’s running from Britney,” one user declared. “Maybe if she would have stopped twirling in that same spot and gone outside with him, they’d still be together,” another netizen joked, referring to the videos of Britney dancing and spinning in her living room. “I love this comment!!! I’d be so dizzy lol,” another fan agreed.

Although the comment sparked a debate in the comments, the user who made the remark clarified, “It’s just a joke. I wish them both well,” adding that they hope “Brit is okay” in a separate comment. However, it seems that not all fans were so quick to forgive the actor, as another one wrote, “I’m so f---ing disappointed in you.”

“I bet he’s so upset about that,” another user clapped back. “Because I bet you know him personally, right?” another fan asked. “So why are you here?!” another netizen demanded while other users asked why they were still following Sam only to leave negative comments on his page.

According to court documents obtained by The Blast, Sam asked for spousal support in the divorce filing even though Britney’s attorney, Mathew Rosengart, hired a family lawyer to craft an airtight prenup before the former couple tied the knot in February 2022. Sam also stated in the filing that July 28, 2023, was their true date of separation.

Sam has moved out of her Thousand Oaks estate, where she was living before the conservatorship even ended, but is still staying in Los Angeles, at an apartment complex that features an indoor park, a pool, and even an on-call doctor who is able to provide services ranging from treating the common cold to Botox injections.

Although Britney is reportedly paying $10,000 a month for his rent, fans wonder how much else she is giving him to maintain his lavish lifestyle, since the actor is not working at the moment due to the SAG-AFTRA strike. “He’s running [because] it’s the 1st of the month…. And a Britney paycheck is in his mailbox,” one fan commented on the post. “That was funny but probably true. I felt sad for Britney Spears as I read her book, but this chick is stronger than anyone I know who has endured trauma – YES, Trauma. From all aspects.~ Justin, her family, the people who used her, and MOST IMPORTANTLY… the loss of her boys. Shame on her family, shame on Kevin, and shame on Sam!”

“They ALL took advantage of an innocent soul who felt like her only purpose was to put a big fat paycheck in everyone’s pocket! It’s Britney’s time to shine,” they continued, although another user pointed out that Sam is minding his own business and trying to earn his own paycheck by working as a model. “In the meantime, he is minding his own business, working every day making his own paychecks! Nothing wrong with that! You go Sam!” another user shared while another fan joked that it was “perfect and practical footwear at the beach.”

Another fan stated that they were looking forward to Britney writing a sequel to “The Woman In Me,” writing, “Can’t wait for book two so we can get the tea on you. Smart move waiting until the book was already written to file for divorce.” In a recent Instagram post, that she later deleted, Britney even hinted that she was planning on releasing the sequel next year!
