Gymnast Nastia Liukin In Bathtime Bikini Sparks Weight Worries

Olympic gymnast Nastia Liukin had fans worried as she showed off her figure and her fall vibes on Instagram earlier this year. Stripping down to a skimpy swimwear look as she enjoyed a bath in one moment, the Russian-born sensation uploaded a video summing up her life activities, also using her post to speak of a "fresh start" as she welcomed September.

Nastia had made 2020 headlines for an anorexia storm as she clapped back at skinny-shamers. Now, the five-time Olympic medalist is back to seeing fans worried about her health. Nastia posted a fun video as she modeled a variety of looks, but she was met with questions as fans expressed concern in the comments.

Footage showed Nastia snapping a quick selfie while in orange gym shorts before slipping her slender frame into swimwear.

Modeling a gingham bikini in pink and white, Nastia flaunted her long, lean legs and tiny waist, also showing off her rock-hard abs. Looking super-cute in her girly two-piece, the Moscow native stepped into a bathtub, where she closed her eyes before the footage moved on.

Also included in the upbeat post was Nastia in tight black booty shorts and a loose sweater as she padded around her Texas home and lit a candle. Here, fans saw the blonde's stylish interiors and tons of pink rose decor. Nasta used singer Taylor Swift's "August" track as she told fans: "Happy September! Always been a monday + first day of the month girlie! anyone else? always just feels like a fresh start! The best season is almost here!!"

Comments have been pouring in. "I absolutely love her, but I am so worried about her health," one fan wrote as over 140 others agreed. "Oof I hope she’s ok," another said. Also expressing concern was a fan saying: "All sizes are beautiful and so is she but this looks really unhealthy I don’t know her but speaking from experience this looks like a woman who needs help."

Nastia did, however, receive love as one fan said they loved her fashion sense.

The APL collaborator hasn't responded to the backlash, but she did in 2020 as a fan said she looked "borderline" anorexic.

Speaking of the Instagram DM she received, Nastia said: "It made me feel: defeated, p*ssed, sad, annoyed, confused, shocked, and many other feelings. If taking pictures of my OWN body — a body that won me many Olympic medals, a body that I push each day to get stronger, a body that God gave me — is inherently promoting anorexia, then honestly, we've gotten to a place in the world where just BEING is offensive."

Nastia maintains that she eats a healthy, balanced diet and has even updated her social media to show her enjoying a slice of pizza.
