Eminem's Daughter Hailie Jade Recalls Childhood With Younger Sister Stevie Laine In Rare Interview

Hailie Jade Mathers and her sister Stevie Laine Mathers get sentimental while recalling their childhood!

Hailie, 27, unexpectedly found herself tearing up during the Halloween episode of her podcast, "Just a Little Shady," as she engaged in a heartfelt conversation with her younger sibling, Stevie, 21.

"Oh my god, am I going to get emotional?" exclaimed Hailie. "I'm old!"

The sisters share the same mother, who is their dad Eminem's ex-wife, Kim Scott. However, Stevie's biological dad is Eric Hartter, a tattoo artist, who passed away in 2019 from a suspected drug overdose.

In 2005, Eminem adopted Stevie following a reconciliation with Scott. He also has an adopted daughter, Alaina, 28, whose mother was Scott's late twin sister, Dawn, who tragically passed away from a drug overdose in 2016.

"The Real Slim Shady" hitmaker has kept his children out of the spotlight but provided a rare glimpse into fatherhood during a 2004 Rolling Stones interview.

During the talk, he discussed his ex-wife's struggles with substance abuse, emphasizing, "You can never let a child feel like it's her fault for what's goin' on."

The moment became emotional for Hailie as she reminisced about the excitement she felt upon learning that her mom was expecting Stevie. The siblings share a six-year age difference.

Hailie shared that upon Stevie's arrival, she quickly developed a strong attachment and felt a sense of possessiveness, reminiscing, "When you were born, I was like, 'A baby for me! It's mine!'"

Hailie commended Stevie for her diverse range of interests, noting that she remains "unfazed by everything" within the context of their unconventional family dynamic.

"You've lived like a thousand lives," the podcast host marveled at her younger sister's childhood pursuits, which included horseback riding and gymnastics.

"You just try as many activities, and then you'd be good at them all. And then I'd be like, 'That's annoying. Why are you so athletic?'"

Hailie and Stevie also recalled having pets and falling "in love" with their dad's dog.

"When we were growing up, our papa had a Great Dane and we were obsessed," Hailie reminisced with Stevie. "They're the sweetest dogs in the world but they're just so huge. I remember we fell in love with papa's dog, Timber, and then—when you got Duke—we were like, 'Where are we gonna put this horse because they're so big!'"

Currently, Stevie, who came out as bisexual in 2017, dedicates their time to volunteering at an animal shelter and assisting kindergarten children in learning to read.

Apart from finding their own passions, Stevie has also found love. They are currently living with their partner of over two years, Declan Jace.

"I feel like if you have a connection with someone, it can work," Stevie said. "Especially if you make time for it to work."
