Golfer Paige Spiranac Secures 3-Year Retraining Order Against Obsessed Fan

While Paige Spiranac has gained internet attention, she also faces unwanted attention from people who don't respect boundaries. She recently had to deal with one such person, a fan who became obsessed with her to the point of becoming a stalker.

To tackle that problem, the professional golfer filed a restraining order in a Los Angeles court in June. Now, new court documents have surfaced showing that she has won the case against the obsessed fan, who was previously known for stalking actress Olivia Wilde.

According to the documents obtained by The Blast, Paige's obsessed fan has been legally banned from contacting her for the next three years. The case was presided over by Commissioner Laura as "Judge Pro Tem."

The judge had looked over a series of evidence, including email copies, a tweet, and a photograph of a letter, before ruling against the alleged stalker named Eric Fuhns. The docs reads:

"After review of the moving papers, and upon consideration of the testimony and evidence presented by the parties, the Court rules as follows: Petitioner's Request for Civil Harassment Restraining Order is granted. The Court finds that Petitioner has sustained their burden of proof."

It continues stating that "The Restraining Order is issued for a period of 3 years, and it shall expire on November 1, 2026. Both parties are present at the time the Court makes its orders. Further notice is not required."

In her initial filing, Paige Spiranac alleged that a 32-year-old man had been stalking her and even following her to tournaments. In the court documents, she stated that the alleged stalking had made her become "extremely anxious and scared." As the social media influencer wrote:

"Even though much of my career involves making public appearances, I have been scared to share my location with fans. I am scared for my safety. I am extremely troubled by Mr. Fuhs' delusional belief that he has been communicating with me. I fear that without a restraining order, Mr. Fuhs will continue to attempt to see me, particularly when I have to travel to the Los Angeles area for work."

She also mentioned that she discovered Eric already had an active civil restraining order against him for allegedly stalking Olivia. The director's restraining order against him is set to last until May 3, 2024. 

Furthermore, Paige was additionally concerned because she found out that he was charged with assault with a deadly weapon in Los Angeles in December 2022. He's said to even have a history of previous stalking and violent behavior.

As for Olivia's case against Eric, court documents obtained by The Blast revealed that she submitted an emergency request for a restraining order against an unnamed man who focused on her residence and sent threatening letters to her former fiancé, Jason Sudeikis.

The 39-year-old described the individual as a stalker whom she had zero connection with. The restraining order mandated the man to maintain a distance of 100 yards from the "House" actress, Jason, their residence, their two kids, and Olivia's workplace.

In the declaration submitted by the New York native, she provided details of the alleged harassment to the court. It included an incident where her purported stalker gained access to a charity event she attended in October 2020, causing her concern due to his strange behavior.

Later, in February 2021, the alleged stalker made calls to her talent agency, falsely claiming to be her boyfriend and exhibiting aggressive behavior. As a result, Olivia's talent agency blocked any further contact with him.

The declaration also mentioned an incident on February 19, 2021, when the alleged stalker approached the filmmaker's home with a note addressed to her man.

In the note, he stated that Olivia had been texting him, seeking a new relationship, and had been speaking to him "secretly" nearly every day from mid-October to January. The note also bizarrely mentioned that "Harry Styles got credit for what I was doing." 

"I do not know how long [the alleged stalker] has been stalking me, but the fact that he falsely believes that he is in a relationship with me scares me and causes me emotional distress. [Olivia] fears that absent a restraining order, [the alleged stalker] will continue to attempt to contact me and my family, come to my home, and attempt further harm," the Teen Choice Awards winner penned in the filing.
