Travis Barker Clears The Air On His Role In Kourtney & Kim Kardashian's Feud

As tensions between Kourtney and Kim Kardashian made headlines, Travis Barker was inadvertently pulled into the mix!

Now, the Blink-182 drummer is breaking his silence to clarify his position in the feud. While the initial spark was ignited by Kourtney accusing her sister of choosing business deals over family, a pivotal moment unfolded as she took the first stride toward reconciliation.  

The musician stepped forward to address speculations surrounding his previous admiration for Kim. He firmly refuted any notion that his brief infatuation played a role in the recent feud between his wife, Kourtney, and her sister.

In a candid interview, the 47-year-old dismissed the idea by emphasizing that their interactions were entirely benign, stating, "That's her sister. She knows we used to talk. Nothing bad was going on."

He pointed out that people tended to jump to conclusions based on limited information, leading to unfounded assumptions about their relationships. To stop further insinuations, he firmly addressed them, asserting:

"You give people a little information, and they think they've solved the mystery of 'this is why they're fighting.' It's just so ridiculous." 

Barker also expressed his frustration with the misconceptions that arose from his book with the Los Angeles Times stating, "It's like, 'Kourtney's fans are worried about Travis. He's a womanizer.' Stop it." 

In his candid 2016 memoir, Can I Say, the reality TV star openly acknowledged finding the SKIMS founder attractive during a period when he briefly dated Paris Hilton. However, he explained that sharing these details was a part of his personal journey toward closure, emphasizing:

"I obviously shared all that stuff because I wanted to move past it. It was therapeutic for me."

Fans will recall that Kim shut down rumors that she had a romantic past with Barker. She had responded to a fan's question on Instagram Stories, writing, "NO! False narrative! We've been friends for years, and I'm so happy for him and Kourt." 

Following a heated exchange where words were flung with force, it appeared that their sisterly bond was on the rocks. In case you missed it, Kourtney's concerns about her sister's commitments to Dolce & Gabbana, especially during her wedding, ignited the flare-up. 

However, tensions escalated when they revisited past confessions and conversations that cut deep. But amidst the turmoil, a surprising olive branch emerged. In a heartfelt gesture, the famous family's eldest daughter reached out, sparking a glimmer of reconciliation.

Their path towards healing was revealed in a preview of an episode where Kim shared a heartening update during a visit to Milan for a Dolce & Gabbana event. Speaking with her glam team, the 42-year-old disclosed that the expectant mother took the first step in repairing their fractured bond. She stated:

"Kourtney messaged me. She sent this picture of my dad in college. So Kourtney texts me, and I feel like it is a step in the right direction of moving past it and moving past all of the drama. I want her here."

The mother-of-four's positive sentiments were reinforced during her confessional as she emotionally noted, "I feel like it's a step in the right direction in moving past it, moving past all the drama, I want her here." Meanwhile, Kourtney also shared her perspective on why she reached out to her younger sibling:

"I think we both said things that we are not proud of. But anyone who has sisters or siblings knows the dynamic. You could get into a crazy fight and you can send a funny text and everything is all good." 

With their sibling bond being on its way to perfect repair, the pair had earlier shown just how strong it was by celebrating special moments together despite their dispute. 

One occasion was when Kim publicly celebrated the POOSH founder's pregnancy announcement with Barker. She had eagerly shared her excitement on her Instagram Story, exclaiming, "Congrats!!! We're having a Kravis baby!!!" 

This joyful message was written on a clip of Kourtney revealing the pregnancy to her beau using a cardboard sign during a performance by the "In a Warzone" artist and his bandmates in June.
