It seems that the decision to close was made suddenly, as the restaurant had just shared its autumn and winter menu. Their brunch menu consisted of items such as a breakfast sandwich, a breakfast burrito, a turkey sandwich, a personal charcuterie board, and even ice cream, with flavors ranging from marionberry pie to coffee almond fudge.
The other side of the card contained more savory food items, including tamari Brussel sprouts with pork belly, coconut curry shrimp and grits, bucatini pesto pasta, and a wide variety of desserts that ranged from a warm season fruit galette a la mode to a warm cookie sundae. The menu also noted dairy-free, gluten-free, and vegetarian options.
“I need to venture back over for that turkey sandwich! Stopped in for the first time last weekend for a breakfast burrito on my way back to Portland from a morning walk on the beach with my dog,” one fan commented. “Seriously. Anyone from PDX that hasn’t made the drive, it is completely worth it. I loved the breakfast sandwich and the vibe is brilliant. You can never go wrong with a disco ball,” another follower shared.
“We had dinner last night & everything was delicious. I have to make it back soon to try the breakfast/lunch too,” a third fan chimed in. Although some fans lamented the lack of vegan options, it looked like the company was doing a good job catering to a variety of dietary needs.
Ireland's Restaurant Opened On April 10

On April 10, Ireland officially opened the restaurant with a few photos of the staff. "We did it!! We're open!! Thank you to everybody who came in this weekend and thank you to our incredible team for pulling it off," she wrote in the caption. "Our books are filling up quickly so be sure to get a reservation on OpenTable."
"We are primarily a counter service establishment with very limited seating, so we can sometimes accommodate walk-ins but reservations help us prepare for a smooth evening," she continued. "We’ve had a lot of requests for reservations for groups larger than 4 but given our bar-style seating, we don’t recommend it. It’s quite cozy in there."
In the comments, several customers expressed frustration at the limited seating available. It could be that Ireland and RAC have plans to expand their business to a larger location. Whatever the case, hungry fans are eager to see where the Good Times brand goes from here!
