Jonathan Majors became muddled in controversy earlier this year when his former lover, Grace Jabbari, accused him of domestic violence. The physical assault case recently took a surprising turn in the Hollywood hunk's favor when police arrested the alleged victim for striking him.
Although Jabbari should be prosecuted for her reported crimes against the "Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania" actor, the DA has other plans and refuses to book the entertainer's ex-flame on assault charges. Despite prosecutors' disinterest in making the woman accountable for her actions, authorities are not backing down from the case.
Manhattan's Police & DA Square Off In Jonathan Majors' Assault Allegations Against His Ex-Girlfriend
The new drama between Majors and Jabbari began in June after the "Lovecraft Country" star filed a cross-complaint against her previous assault allegations. Four months after the 34-year-old's lawsuit, the TV personality's ex was arrested for misdemeanor assault and criminal mischief.
Sources from NYC's law enforcement shared the bombshell news with TMZ, revealing that Jabbari had been arrested on Wednesday, October 25. The blonde beauty was taken to Manhattan's 10th Precinct for allegedly attacking the Black Reel Award recipient.
According to the sources, the "Loki" star's former girlfriend's crimes included scratching Majors on his right hand and inflicting damage to his cheek and ear after smacking him across the face with an open hand. Additionally, Jabbari tore the buttons off her ex-beau's coat and damaged the front pocket.
These crimes against the Lompoc native would typically have resulted in Jabbari's prosecution. However, the insiders explained that Manhattan D.A.'s office was unwilling to do the needful. Instead, they filed court papers on Tuesday, claiming to have informed the NYPD in September about their disinterest in prosecuting Majors' ex-lover.
The D.A.'s office reportedly stated it had no intention of holding Jabbari accountable for "the belated allegations made by defendant [Majors] regarding the incident on March 25, 2023." Although the D.A. has a different opinion regarding the entertainer's ex-girlfriend, the NYPD is not backing down.
Authorities believe they have probable cause for Jabbari's arrest and will still book her for misdemeanor assault and criminal mischief charges. Meanwhile, Majors continues to fight against the misdemeanor assault and harassment charges he received after his former lover accused him of attacking her in a Manhattan apartment.
Following the incident that occurred in March, Jabbari was treated for head and neck injuries at a local hospital. However, Majors' defense lawyer, Priya Chaudhry, believed these injuries were bogus as the security footage from a club captured Jabbari walking normally and partying following her hospital release.

A month before "The Harder They Fall" ex-girlfriend's arrest, the Hollywood sensation made waves for breaking up a fight between two female high school students. Videos depicting the bizarre encounter flooded social media platforms, showing the 34-year-old rushing to the scene after leaving an eatery.
The "Creed III" was seen speaking to the girls, who continued to reach for each other despite the TV personality keeping them apart. Majors reportedly told the high schoolers that whatever the problem was was not worth fighting for and insisted they stop.
Following the incident, the Lompoc native shared his side of the story. According to the Saturn Award nominee, he was worried for the female students and intercepted their fight to stop them from hurting themselves. His interference helped as the girls went their separate ways after he got between them.
Jonathan Majors Sparked Marriage Speculations With Meagan Good
Since his drama with Jabbari, Majors has found love again with fellow actress Meagan Good. The pair sent fans into a frenzy in September with marriage speculations following their appearance at the Congressional Black Caucus’ eighth annual Black and White Gala in Washington, D.C.
A clip from the event captured Good addressing the crowd, noting she was happy to be at the gala with her beau. After raving at the importance of celebrating Black culture, the "Shazam" star turned to Majors and asked, "So babe, you want to say anything?"
In response, the "White Boy Rick" said: “Y’all heard the missus, so that’s what it is.” The entertainer's use of "missus" sent the crowd wild, with more fans on X, wondering if the couple had secretly tied the knot. One social media user penned:
"He married the first black woman he dates, can’t be mad at it."
Another supportive fan chimed: “Megan Majors does have a certain… ring to it.” However, not everyone jumped to conclusions, with a third lamenting: “All he SAID WAS YALL HEARD THE MISSES….. YALL reaching.”
