As stated, Costner's appearance in Jackson Hole was a trip down memory lane for the actor, who stole the hearts of millions with his impressive performance on Paramount Network's drama series "Yellowstone." This detail did not escape the show's viewers, with one fan recalling their meeting with the singer. The individual's comment read:

"Thanks, Kevin, for stopping in at Belle Cose on Broadway where your hats and Buckle for Yellowstone were made by Burns1876, a partner with Belle Cose. You were so kind to respond to my lassoing you off of the street to come back in for a photo op….SO appreciated it and you!"

Kevin Costner's Ex-Wife's Key Role In The Modern West Band's Formation

Costner's live performances at the Million Dollar Cowboy Bar marked another stellar achievement in the "Silverado" star's longtime history with the Modern West band. The film producer, who grew up playing classical music on the piano, started a short-lived band called the Raving Boy in the 90s.

After dropping out of the music scene, the 68-year-old did not return until a decade later, thanks to his then-wife Christine Baumgartner. During a 2014 interview, the country music star reflected on how she inspired him to continue singing, saying:

"I kind of hemmed and hawed about all of it and kind of avoided it. For two years, she kept after me to do it because she saw how much I enjoyed doing it. And finally, I said that I would."

The father-of-seven created the Modern West band in 2007 alongside his friends John Coinman and Blair Forward. That year, the group toured the globe and then released their first album, "Untold Truths," in 2008. The music compilation reached No. 61 on the U.S. Billboard Top Country Albums, marking one of the band's numerous successful streaks.

Despite Baumgartner's part in Costner's return to music, the actor's former wife stopped being his muse in May 2023. The handbag designer filed to end the duo's marriage alongside a hefty child support fee of nearly $200,000 for the ex-couple's three children.

However, the 49-year-old's plans did not go as she wanted, as the matter ended out of court, with the pair upholding their prenuptial agreement. Weeks after their nasty divorce battle, a source claimed the "Waterworld" actor's feelings for Baumgartner had not dissipated.

“Christine is seeing the positive side of being friendly with Kevin again since she walked away with much less than she bargained for,” the insider explained. “They’re being cordial, which is a relief to Kevin. Even after all this bad blood, he still has a sweet spot for her.”
