'Se7en' Actor Richard Roundtree's Cause Of Death Revealed

"Shaft" and "Se7en" actor Richard Roundtree has passed away at the age of 81.
The actor, who is best known for his starring role in the film "Shaft" passed away on Tuesday after a brief battle with an aggressive form of cancer. Roundtree's family surrounded him at his bedside.
Specifically, Roundtree cause of death was pancreatic cancer.
"Artists & Representatives Agency mourns the loss of our friend and client Richard Roundtree," Roundtree's agent said. Adding, "His trailblazing career changed the face of entertainment around the globe and his enduring legacy will be felt for generations to come. Our hearts are with his family and loved ones during this difficult time."
Richard Roundtree Passes Away at Age 81
Roundtree's "Being Mary Jane" co-star Gabrielle Union spoke out about his death on X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter.

"Working with Richard Roundtree was a dream," the "Bring It On" actress wrote. "Getting to hang with him & our Being Mary Jane family was always a good a-- time with the best stories & laughs. He was ALWAYS the coolest man in the room with the BEST vibes & ppl would literally run over to come see him. He was simply the best & we all loved him."
Richard Roundtree is considered to be the first Black action hero, and was best known for his role as detective John Shaft in "Shaft". Decades later, the actor reprised his role in the 2000 John Singleton movie "Shaft" starring alongside Samuel L. Jackson. He also starred in 1981's "Inchon", 1984's "City Heat" opposite Clint Eastwood and Burt Reynolds, as well as "Se7en", "George of the Jungle", "Body of Influence", "Amityville: A New Generation" and "What Men Want".
He also had major roles in television series including "Generations", "413 Hope St.", "Alias", "Diary of a Single Mom", "Buddies", "Desperate Housewives", "Soul Food", "Being Mary Jane", and "Family Reunion".
The late actor recently spoke out regarding his second marriage, explaining, "Well, my second marriage mirrored some of the things that went on in the script. And the dilemma of coming back to that relationship, and wanting to know why the divorce came about. And the fact that he had basically moved on, but there was always a question in the back of his mind because he was really in love with his wife."
