Lil Wayne Reacts To Viral Video Of His Wax Figure: 'Dat S--- Ain't Me!'

Lil Wayne has voiced his disapproval of his wax figure at the Hollywood Wax Museum after a TikTok video recently caused the bizarre-looking wax figure to go viral.

His statement comes shortly after Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson addressed the skin tone issue with his Grévin Museum wax figure in Paris, promising to get it updated. 

In a recent post on X (formerly known as Twitter), Lil Wayne expressed his candid thoughts on his wax replica at the Hollywood Wax Museum in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. 

In his post, the 41-year-old rapper wrote, "Sorry wax museum but dat s--- ain't me! You tried tho and I appreciate the effort."

Although the wax figure of the "Annihilate" hitmaker has been on display since at least the summer of 2022, a recent TikTok video brought it into the viral spotlight.

One fan wrote in reaction to the viral clip, "This isn't even funny, so disrespectful to an icon and living legend. Smh. That's giving me T lanez."

Another added, "This Lil Wayne wax figure looks less like him than the first time I did acid and I stupidly went on my phone and saw a picture of Birdman and Lil Wayne and for a second I thought their faces morphed together."

Others even suggested the statue resembled artists like Toosii and Jacquees, leading Toosii to humorously quip, "Man, that s--- don't look like me even with my grown hair."

Wayne's wax figure controversy comes on the heels of Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson addressing the skin color issue with his wax figure at the Grévin Museum in Paris, France.

On Instagram, Johnson shared a video by comedian James Andre Jefferson Jr., humorously criticizing the WWE star's wax model at the Grévin Museum for not accurately matching his skin tone.

In the video, Jefferson poked fun at how Johnson's wax figure resembled more of a "pebble," David Beckham, and a member of the British royal family. He added, "Is this how you all felt when you lost the Little Mermaid? I understand."

The "Black Adam" actor expressed his amusement in the caption, admitting he "legit belly laughed" at the "The Little Mermaid" reference.

He continued: "For the record, I'm going to have my team reach out to our friends at Grevin Museum, in Paris France so we can work at 'updating' my wax figure here with some important details and improvements- starting with my skin color." "And next time I'm in Paris, I'll stop in and have a drink with myself," he added.

Since the backlash, the Grévin Museum has removed their Instagram post featuring Johnson's wax figure. They also addressed the issue in a post, writing, "Our artists are already working on improving the waxwork of Dwayne Johnson. Your feedback is always valuable to us."

In a statement to Deadline, the Grévin Museum responded to Johnson's concerns, acknowledging the issue with his wax figure's skin color. "Dwayne Johnson is right and we noticed it and will obviously remedy it as quickly as possible and send him new photos once completed," they shared.

"We are waiting for him when he will come to Paris and the Grévin Wax Museum to celebrate that with a cup of champagne," they added.

On Sunday, Travis Baker showed off his Madame Tussauds Las Vegas "clone" on Instagram. The Blink-182 drummer posted a playful carousel of pictures, encouraging fans to visit his wax figure.

In the picture, Barker posed with his lookalike, the statue dressed in a black leather jacket with silver chains. He shared moments like planting a kiss on the figure, pouting, covering his face, sticking out his tongue beside the clone's face, and appearing to scream into the statue's ear.

The "First Date" singer wrote in the caption, "Come say hi to my clone."

While Barker's wax figure looked like him, Johnson and Wayne's sculptures joined a long list of celebrity replicas that looked nothing like their famous counterparts.
