The couple got married on October 7 after getting a marriage license a month earlier, as reported by TMZ.

Stipe's connection to Frances Bean runs deep, as the singer is her godfather, with talk show host Drew Barrymore as her godmother.
While this is Riley's first marriage, it serves as Frances Bean's second after she ended things with her former husband, Isiah Silva, in March 2016.
Frances Bean and Silva's divorce battle turned nasty, especially with the duo fighting over custody of her late father's guitar.
Frances Bean Cobain Marked Her 30th Birthday With Some Deep Thoughts
Last year, Frances Bean marked her 30th birthday. She shared several photos of herself with friends and family on Instagram and threw in a meme at the end. However, the caption on the birthday post was much more sentimental, reflecting on her life so far.
The caption revealed that at 20 years old, Frances Bean was convinced she wouldn't have made it to 30. She wrote at the time, "Honestly, 20 year old Frances wasn't sure that was going to happen. At the time, an intrinsic sense of deep self loathing dictated by insecurity, destructive coping mechanisms & more trauma than my body or brain knew how to handle, informed how I saw myself and the world."
She explained that her worldview was distorted by a lens of resentment for "being brought into a life that seemingly attracted so much chaos and the kind of pain tied to grief that felt inescapable."
How A Traumatic Experience Deeply Affected Her
Frances Bean also opened up about a particularly traumatic experience that affected her and changed her view of life. 2017, she boarded a flight from Paris to Los Angeles, which caught on fire while still in transit. Luckily, the visual artist was able to escape from the burning plane uninjured.
In her birthday post last year, she wrote, "Then, an event on a plane which brought me closer in proximity to death is ironically the event that catapulted me towards running at this lived experience with radical gratitude. I'm glad to have proven myself wrong and to have found ways to transform pain into knowledge."
At the time, Frances Bean talked about the frightening incident on her Instagram, saying that it forced her to face her mortality. She posted several pictures of the highly damaged engine of the aircraft that had caught fire and said that she had made a vow to herself that if she didn't die, she would stop trying "to escape the moments of my life."

Frances Bean also included a quote by author Dr. Jaiya John in the deeply sentimental birthday post, which she said she holds closely. The quote read, "The softer she became with herself, the softer she became with the world."
The visual artist concluded her birthday post with some information about her plans for her future.
She wrote, "Entering this new decade, I hope to stay soft no matter how hardening the world can feel at times, bask in the present moment with reverence, shower the people I am lucky enough to love with more appreciation than words could ever do justice & hold space to keep learning, so the growth never stops."
We are glad to see Frances Bean Cobain's journey lead her to a beautiful marriage to Riley Hawk, and wish them the best!!
