Carrie Underwood‘s face has been the subject of many a headline recently after she revealing she sustained a facial injury last year. Since then, she’s let the public glimpse only parts of her face — but last night she and her face went to the Academy of Country Music Awards.
She looks just as flawless as she always has, so kudos to the doctors who made the 40 or so stitches basically invisible.
Reba McEntire hosted the show in Las Vegas for the 15th time. Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton were adorable on the red carpet and Luke Bryan offered to officiate their wedding, should they decide to get hitched.
Blake’s first wife, country star Miranda Lambert, took home two ACM Awards for best female vocalist and song of the year. Lambert made history by winning female vocalist of the year for nine years in a row.
“I cannot believe this. I really can’t. Thank you so much. I love country music. It is my entire life,” Lambert said in her acceptance speech. “I dedicate everything I have to it and for y’all to care so much about what I’m doing, I will never, ever take it for granted.”
Jason Aldean won entertainer of the year in a category comprised solely of men — a fact that host Reba McEntire couldn’t ignore. “Did you see the Entertainer of the Year category? Five men. No women. Looks like singles night at the Holiday Inn,” joked McEntire.
