Chris Pratt seems to be channelling his famous father-in-law Arnold Schwarzenegger in a recent throwback photo!
The Marvel star and the veteran actor-turned-governor became family after Pratt tied the knot with Arnold's daughter Katherine Schwarzenegger in June 2019. In a surprising twist, the "Guardians of the Galaxy" star recently showed the world that he has something in common with the "Terminator" actor.
Chris Pratt Channeled Arnold Schwarzenegger's Hit Pose When He Was A Teenager
Even before the "Terminal List" actor knew he would be marrying the 38th Governor of California's daughter, he seems to have drawn major inspiration from the former Mr. Universe.
In a recent throwback picture shared on Instagram, Pratt was seen striking Arnold's iconic hit pose from the 1974 photo book, "Pumping Iron." A teenage-looking Pratt donned blue wrestling gear and flexed his biceps to the side just like Schwarzenegger while scrunching his face.
In the accompanying caption, the 44-year-old Hollywood hunk opened up about how wrestling changed his life. "Wrestling showed me that I'm tougher than I ever imagined. It pushed me beyond my mental and physical limits, instilling an inner strength that still guides me," he began.
Pratt continued, "Today, I embrace physically demanding challenges with the confidence that wrestling gave me - no matter how tough it gets, I can finish. If you're a kid reading this, remember, it's hard work, but the rewards down the line are extraordinary and fulfilling."
Fans supported Pratt's opinion in the comments section, sharing their stories of how wrestling positively affected them. One follower wrote, "Once you’ve wrestled everything else in life is easy," while another added, "You're the man Mr Pratt. I hope and pray to meet you one day."
"Greatest sport in the world. Keep you humble and teaches lessons like no other sport does. Congrats on all your successes brother," remarked another fan. A follower suggested Pratt was making a transition into wrestling, asking, "WWE career maybe?"

This user suggested Pratt star in a biopic about Hulk Hogan. "The great Chris Pratt to play Hulk Hogan in a live action movie confirmed lol," the comment read.
Arnold Schwarzenegger Is 'Very Proud' Of Son-in-law Chris Pratt
Pratt and Arnold have one of the most enviable father and son-in-law relationships in Hollywood, as they never shy away from publicly doting on each other. Back in May when "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3" premiered, the "Conan the Barbarian" star led the praises for his daughter's husband's performance.
"I saw #GuardiansOfTheGalaxyVol3 last night and WOW. @prattprattpratt, you crushed it. A non-stop, perfect mix of comedy and action. I loved it and I’m very, very proud of you," the former politician wrote in an X post.
"The Super Mario Bros. Movie" actor was super touched by the gesture and during an interview with People Magazine spoke about how much his father-in-law's public support meant to him.
Pratt gushed, "Arnold's support means the world to me on a couple different levels. Just being his son-in-law and being part of his family, it obviously means a lot to have his support." He then added:
"But then on another level, just being somebody who grew up loving his movies, the big action hero — I dreamed of being Commando and dreamed of being the soldier from Predator, and I loved Terminator. So him to give me kudos for going out and being on the marquee is really kind of mind-blowing."
The younger actor often opens up about his relationship with Arnold and how he is the best grandfather to his two daughters, Lyla Maria, 2, and Eloise Christina, 11 months. In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, the Minnesota native revealed the unique nickname his daughters gave their famous grandfather.
"Isn't that so nice? Arnold, Opa, Arnold we call him, he came to the premiere," Pratt mentioned. "And yeah, he was so nice to give me love and support on his social media. He really liked the movie."
When asked if Arnold was genuine with his public praise, Pratt answered, "I think he'd be honest with me. If he didn't like it, I don't think he would post it."
