'Arrow' Star Stephen Amell Begs Public For Help Finding Missing Friend

Stephen Amell, best known for his role in "Arrow", is asking the public for help in locating a dear friend of his who has been missing.
The actor took to social media Friday evening to share more details about his friend, David Andrew McLean, who was last seen in North Vancouver on October 9. This is out of character for McLean so friends, family, and police officers are concerned for his well-being.
Stephen Amell's Friend Goes Missing In Canada
The "Arrow" star took to social media, begging the public for help in locating a dear friend of his, David Andrew McLean.
"Facebook, I'm here with a very important request on behalf of the entire 'Arrow' family," Amell began in his post. "Our friend David Andrew McLean was last seen in North Vancouver on October 9th and a missing person report was filed on October 13th. We all love David and just want to make sure he's ok."
He added, "Now... please, PLEASE be respectful with this post. Only comment if you think you can be helpful in any way shape or form. There's some additional information in the article, to go along with a number you can call with any relevant information."
"We love you David. If you're read this, please just come home safe," Amell concluded.
There is no foul play suspected, according to the missing person's report, however, this is extremely out of character for him, so the police consider David Andrew McLean to be at risk and are concerned for his wellbeing.

“Arrow” star Stephen Amell was recently in hot waters after he spoke out about the SAG-AFTRA strike during his appearance at GalaxyCon in Raleigh.
The actor admitted that he does not support striking and believes it is a “reductive negotiating tactic” and called the move by the SAG union “myopic.”

Since his original statement, Amell apologized to fans when he took to social media. “Understandably, there has been a lot of reaction to the comments I made this weekend about our strike,” Amell began.
The actor added, “To ensure there is no misunderstanding about my thoughts and intentions I’m providing what I actually said and clarity/context to ensure my feelings aren’t unintentionally misinterpreted. We all know soundbites can be taken out of context and I have too much respect for my fellow union members to not clarify the record.”

Stephen Amell 'Put A Foot In His Mouth' With SAG-AFTRA
In a more recent interaction with a photographer, the “Arrow” star clarified that he hadn’t made a complete U-turn but rather misspoke initially and emphasized his unwavering support for SAG-AFTRA.
He said, “I always said I support my union. Not supporting the strike was a wrong choice of words, plain and simple. I put my foot in my mouth. I’m trying to take ownership of it.”
