Sophia Bush Settling Divorce With Ex-Husband Grant Hughes

'One Tree Hill' alum Sophia Bush is fast-tracking a settlement of her divorce with ex-husband, Grant Hughes, after moving on with soccer star Ashlyn Harris. 

According to new legal documents, obtained by The Blast, Bush has already submitted a declaration of disclosure in the ongoing divorce case, which indicates it's close to settlement.

This specific document reveals that the actress has exchanged financial information with Hughes, which should lead to officially ending this ordeal.

Obviously, Bush was very famous and wealthy before entering this marriage and had a prenuptial agreement. The document will outline any transfer of money or property in the case of a divorce. As we reported, Hughes asked the court not to grant spousal support to either party and for them to split the attorney's fees. In other words, this should be a simple breakup.

This story took a huge twist when it was revealed Sophia started dating USWNT star, Ashlyn Harris. The soccer player is in the middle of her own separation, but it's a bit more complicated. In September, Harris pulled the plug on her marriage to fellow soccer star Ali Krieger, but the former couple has two children together. In this case, child custody and support will need to be worked out.

Interestingly, Hughes is publically being very supportive of his ex-wife's new relationship. His representative released a statement to the media, saying, "Grant will always want the best for Sophia and is supportive of all that makes her happy and fulfilled."

"Sophia and Grant were friends for 10 years and bonded during COVID through their love of community service," Parade reported. "They continue to run their nonprofit together and remain good friends."

Ashlyn opened up about the birth of her daughter, Sloane, on Instagram in February of 2021.

"We promise Sloane will be loved every single day by us, our friends, and our family," she wrote at the time. Adding, "We promise to give her the tools to live a happy, successful life of inclusivity and support. We promise to share her adoption story with her from the very beginning and celebrate every milestone!"

So, how did it happen? Well, according to reports Bush and Harris crossed paths several times including being alongside each other for a panel with Sophie Ann Kelly at Cannes Lions advertising for the festival. The duo also were spotted at a watch party for the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup in July, and Kallmeyet's New York Fashion Week the same month.

After being friends for years, and running in the same social circles, Sophia and Ashlyn went out on their first dinner date a couple of weeks ago," a source said. Adding, "This is so recent, and they are both beginning new chapters."

The divorce case is still technically ongoing, but not for long.
