Justin Timberlake Is ‘Focusing On New Music’ Amid Britney Spears Bombshells

Singer Britney Spears has dropped a lot of bombshells about her ex-boyfriend Justin Timberlake over the past few days.

The former couple dated from 1999 to 2002 but made many headlines during their relationship due to alleged infidelity. Despite the revelations that have been revealed in her memoir "The Woman In Me," the "Cry Me A River" singer is reportedly in a "great place."

It looks like Justin Timberlake is taking things in stride amid the release of Britney Spears’ new memoir, “The Woman In Me.” "He’s happy at home with Jess and their kids and he’s focusing on new music. He’s in such a great place," an insider told People magazine.

In her memoir, Britney revealed that she had an unplanned pregnancy while the two were together. “It was a surprise, but for me, it wasn’t a tragedy. I loved Justin so much. I always expected us to have a family together one day. This would just be much earlier than I’d anticipated,” she wrote, as per People magazine.

“But Justin definitely wasn’t happy about the pregnancy,” she continued. “He said we weren’t ready to have a baby in our lives, that we were way too young. If it had been left up to me alone, I never would have done it. And yet Justin was so sure that he didn’t want to be a father. To this day, it’s one of the most agonizing things I have ever experienced in my life."

Justin later went on to marry Jessica Biel in 2012. The two share two sons: Silas, 8, and Phineas, 3. Meanwhile, Britney has two sons – Sean Preston, 18, and Jayden James, 17 – from her marriage to Kevin Federline, which lasted from 2004 to 2007.

“Justin has been focusing on his own family and trying not to concern himself with Britney’s memoir,” a source told ET on Tuesday. “In recent years, Justin has tried to be supportive of Britney from a distance. They dated so long ago, but he still has respect for her. Justin and Jessica just want everyone to grow and evolve instead of continuing to bring up the past.”

On Thursday, a source told The Sun that "Justin owns who he was when he and Britney were together, even though his personality, career, lifestyle, and personal priorities are radically different now, twenty years later.”

“This book is a nightmare for him because of how it throws the whole family into chaos. The timing stings just as much as the revelation itself,” they continued. “Justin had a big fall planned with new music on deck, more work with his old friends in NSYNC, and of course, the next installment of the Trolls franchise, which has been a huge moneymaker for Justin over the last several years.”

In an excerpt from “The Woman In Me” released on Thursday morning by the New York Times, Britney was so “devastated” by the end of the relationship that she considered quitting the music industry entirely.

“I was comatose in Louisiana and he was happily running around Hollywood,” she wrote in her memoir, lamenting how the media portrayed her as a “harlot who’d broken the heart of America’s golden boy.”

Amid allegations of infidelity,  sources told The Sun that Britney admits to cheating on the “Mirrors” singer but only one time during their relationship. In her memoir, she reportedly explains how she made out with dancer Wade Robsonto get back at Justin for cheating on her.

“We were out one night and we went to a Spanish bar. We danced and danced. I made out with him that night,” she reportedly wrote in her memoir, adding that she had been faithful to Justin “with that one exception.” Britney confessed the transgression to Justin at the time, who forgave her.

Meanwhile, a source told Us Weekly that the pop star alleges that Justin cheated on her “a couple of times” during their three-year relationship. In one instance, one of Britney’s dancers told her that he “hit that last night” when referring to another girl in Las Vegas.

Britney also mentions the time that he was photographed with Nicole Appleton in the year 2000. The two made headlines at the time when they snuck back to the St. Martins Lane Hotel, where he was staying. Nicole was part of the British girl group All Saints, which consisted of Natalie Appleton, Nicole Appleton, Melanie Blatt, and Shaznay Lewis before they disbanded in 2001.

Britney’s tell-all memoir, “The Woman In Me,” is scheduled for release on Tuesday, October 24, 2023.
