Prince Used Gmail to Write Song Lyrics for Unreleased Track

Prince used a secret Gmail account to email his friends and associates, but he also used it to write lyrics for a song that was never released.
A search warrant from September 2016 revealed that Prince's former bodyguard had set up a Gmail account for the singer with the address jyramadan@gmail.com.
Among the photos and videos released on Thursday — following the conclusion of the investigation into the death of Prince — is an email from that account that was typed to no one, with no subject line.
The email contained lyrics to an unreleased song called "LOVE U SO." The lyrics read:
WE'RE FIGHTING A WAR THAT WE DID NOT CHOOSE
DONT KNOW WHAT IT'S 4 BUT WE WILL NOT LOSE
WE'RE ALL POINTING GUNS WHEN WE SHOULD B FRIENDS

Another photo taken from the scene shows a page of typed up lyrics to a song he ended up releasing with 3rdEyeGirl called "Wow." The lyrics are mostly what ended up on the final version of the song, but you can see that someone had crossed out some of the lyrics and changed them.

Authorities in Minnesota on Thursday released thousands of videos and images taken from Paisley Park during the investigation into the death of the iconic singer.
A press conference was held by authorities in Minnesota on Thursday announcing there would be no charges related to Prince’s death in April of 2016. Mark Metz, the Carver County Attorney, explained that they believe Prince didn’t realize he was taking Vicodin laced with Fentanyl.
At the time of his death, police say there were no painkiller prescriptions in Prince’s name.
Following the press conference, the sheriff’s department released all records related to the investigation of his death. The records that were released by authorities included photos, notes and a video showing the lifeless body of the icon.
