Billie Eilish's New Bizarre Back Tattoo Will Make You Do A Double Take

Grammy award-winning artist Billie Eilish has finally unveiled her stunning back tattoo, almost a month after giving her fans a glimpse of the complex artwork.

Eilish shared the shot of the tattoo in a photo carousel containing random images, including Halloween decorations and her shoes.

The singer recently spoke candidly on the creative process behind her hit "Barbie" song, "What Was I Made For," and how fan reactions made writing the tune worth it.

The 21-year-old artist sent her fans into a frenzy after sharing a photo carousel that included a shot of her recently acquired back tattoo.

The singer, who, in September, gave a glimpse of the artwork, finally unveiled the full length of the new ink, which runs from her neck down to her lower back.

Eilish's back tattoo is a complex swirl of dark lines that sometimes look like a splash of ink across her back. The photo she shared is seemingly from when she got the tattoo drawn, as there was a mess of ink all over the singer's back.

Other images in the photo dump were shots of Eilish in random places and positions. In one, the "Bad Guy" singer can be seen lying down while using her phone, while another focused on her sneakers.

There was also a video in the mix, which showed Eilish flaunting the red-dyed roots of her hair.

Fans of the singer quickly reacted to the bizarre-looking tattoo with awe and admiration. While several praised it, others tried to figure out what it meant.

One fan wrote, "Without words, this is incredible," followed by several fire emojis. Another wrote, "Theee back tattooooo?"

A third person begged, "Please show us the fully colored version of your tattoo as it looks absolutely killer."

Another individual noted, "She knows she badd," along with several cute face emojis.

The response to her reveal is not surprising, considering how she teased her fans with a photo of her neck in September, showing a little peek at the tattoo.

Eilish recently revealed she was amazed as women around the world praised her hit single, "What Was I Made For," which she created for the critically acclaimed "Barbie" movie. During an interview with Allure, the singer shared her thoughts on the unexpected response to her.

The music, which delves into themes of self-discovery and empowerment, was deemed relatable by many women and fans of the star. 

Eilish disclosed that she and her elder brother, Finneas, made the masterpiece "without thinking about ourselves and our own lives, but thinking about this character we were inspired by."

"The way the song has been heard and seen by women is so special to me," she stated. "All the videos are devastating. I go on TikTok, and it's video after video of how hard it is to be a woman, with that song playing."

While speaking about the moment she wrote the track, Eilish said, "It was as if this song was a tiny creature inside of me for years, scratching the inside of me. As soon as we got that prompt, the creature was like, ‘Okay, I’m out,’ and we [Eilish and her brother-collaborator, Finneas O’Connell] wrote that song in an hour or two."

Although Eilish and her ex-boyfriend, singer Jesse Rutherford, are no longer dating, they’re still good friends. 

In a recent Instagram Q&A session with her fans, the "Happier Than Ever" singer confirmed that she’s not currently dating anyone. Eilish answered questions about her dog, Shark, and her favorite songs. 

When a fan asked her about Rutherford, she said they’re “very very good friends only” and that he’s her “homie forever.”

Relationship rumors about the pair started circulating in late 2022 when photos of them enjoying a dinner date in West Hollywood went viral. The former couple were last seen together at the 2023 Coachella before calling it quits on their relationship.

Eilish and Rutherford were criticized throughout the period they dated for their controversial age gap. The duo was aware of this criticism as they poked fun at it by wearing an old man costume and a baby outfit for Halloween last year.
