New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers is teasing his NFL return as he continues making incredible "progress" just weeks following his surgery.
The surgery was classified as "season-ending", however, Rodgers is proving everyone wrong as he is already walking around without any assistance from his crutches -- plus, he went out on the field and warmed up with his Jets teammates, even throwing around the ball and putting full weight on his foot.
Aaron Rodgers Is On The Road To Recovery
On Sunday, Rodgers arrived at MetLife Stadium to support his team by golf cart, however, he shocked fans everywhere when he got up and walked around at his own free will -- with no assistance of crutches at all! (See the incredible video here.)
But it doesn't stop there because the New York Jets quarterback went out onto the field for pre-game warm ups, throwing the ball around with his teammates and putting full weight on his ankle.
Rodgers is now teasing his NFL comeback as he shared a photo of him out on the football field, practicing with his team once again -- just four and a half weeks after he underwent his surgery.

Despite his incredible progress, Rodgers has said fans need to "slow down" when it comes to talking about an NFL return. “We’re kind of way ahead in just even saying that,” he said per NBC. “They’re just markers. You saw me walk without crutches and throw on the field. Another marker’s gonna be jogging. And then another marker’s gonna be going through a pregame workout, probably, and get on a practice field. All of these are gonna take time. There’s critical markers I have to hit.”
Rodgers was also seen walking around without crutches earlier this month. New York’s “All-Access” team captured images of Rodgers walking on his own, which were shared on the “Pat McAfee Show”. The photos were from October 1, when Rodgers was visiting his team at MetLife Stadium preparing to take on the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday Night Football.
The NFL quarterback was seen wearing jeans, a T-shirt and athletic shoes as he walked around the locker room without crutches. When one team official warned Rodgers to be careful, the future Hall of Famer responded with “chill out”.
Aaron Rodgers On His Rehab Process
Aaron Rodgers already made it known that he plans to play for the New York Jets again this season as just days after his surgery, he said, "There's a lot of different ideas about the overall length of the rehab. I think what I'd like to say is, just because nobody's ever done it in a certain way doesn't mean it's not possible."
The NFL quarterback added, "I definitely have some odds stacked against me based on age, but I like it. Stack all the odds up against me and see what happens. My entire focus and dedication is about acquiring the most information and adding to what I've already put together as a pretty damn good rehab plan that's going to, I think, shock some people."
Robert Saleh Speaks Out On Aaron Rodgers's Incredible Recovery Process
After Aaron Rodgers was seen throwing the ball around with his teammates this past weekend, Jets head coach Robert Saleh spoke out, admitting, "I'm one of those guys searching, like, 'Is he supposed to do this?' I've coached Richard Sherman, who was coming off his Achilles. I've got friends who have had Achilles injuries, and what he's doing, according to them, is absolutely ridiculous."
Saleh continued, "For him to be walking already, I wouldn't put anything past him. He is a big believer in manifestation; you are who you think you are, and you become what you think about. He is willing himself to return faster than what you're supposed to be."
The New York Jets coach then added that Rodgers is "fueled by doubt".
"The more you doubt him, the more fuel he has. He's on a mission," Saleh said. "There's one thing I've learned about him, in my very short time with him, is that when he's got something on his mind and he wants to prove something, he's going to prove it. So, a lot of people can doubt him, but I'm not doubting him. We're leaving the door open for him but it's amazing to see how hard he's been working and the intent at which he's been doing it."
