Angel Reese is making big money moves while still in college.
On Tuesday morning, she was named the first NIL partnership with Reebok signing under the newly appointed president of basketball Shaquille O’Neal.
LSU Women's Basketball Star Angel Reese Is The First To Sign NIL Deal With Reebok
Reese, 21, is Reebok’s first major NIL signing and the first to sign under the new President of Basketball, O’Neal, and Vice President, Allen Iverson, as part of the brand's long-term strategy to reclaim its position as a dominant player in the sport and sports culture.
“I am honored to be working closely with one of my longtime mentors, Shaq, along with a brand that I have admired since I was just a little kid. It means the world to me that they trust in me to extend their legacy to a new generation,” Reese said.
“Together, I think we have a great opportunity to do things differently, to inspire people to explore and express themselves unapologetically, and to show them how to look and feel good while doing it.”

Reese will be featured in lifestyle and performance product campaigns and will work with Reebok's product teams to help influence future designs, as well as her own collection. Reebok will also work with Reese to support her recently launched Angel C. Reese Foundation, which is dedicated to empowering girls and women through education, sports, and more.
Reebok CEO Todd Krinsky noted Reese's unique style.
"Angel has this unique mix of unapologetic swagger and style combined with off-the-charts athleticism," he said. "Her individuality and personal irreverence are helping transform college sports and inspiring an entire generation. We're thrilled to be working with Angel and look forward to further imprinting our presence on sports culture together."
Krinsky also spoke about this first move into basketball for Reebok, and how they are making a "big statement" by signing a women's college player.
"Outside of announcing Shaq in a management role, this is our first move into basketball. Our first move isn't a male NBA player, it's a women's college player," Krinsky said.
"It's a big statement about how we're looking at the landscape. Also, it's a statement about the type of personality we're looking for. She's irreverent, she's got this love me or hate me attitude, and she's very strong-willed. She's also obviously as influential off the court as she is on the court."
Shaquille O'Neal Was Recently Named Reebok's President Of Basketball
O'Neal explained why he chose Reese for his first appointment as the President of Basketball.
"For my first appointment in this role, it had to be the GOAT. There is no one making a bigger impact on the game right now than Angel Reese," O'Neal shared. "Angel is shaking up the space, just like Reebok has done all along. I'm proud to welcome Angel into the Reebok family and can't wait to see how she will bring the brand's legacy to the next generation."
In one post, he is quoted as saying, "There is no one making a bigger impact on the game right now than Angel Reese." The second IG post welcomes Reese to the Reebok family as "the first Reebok basketball athlete under Shaq & Iverson."
