Matchmaker Erin Andrews Begged Taylor Swift To Give Travis Kelce A Shot!

Sports broadcaster Erin Andrews is taking credit for setting up "Bad Blood" singer Taylor Swift and Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.

The 45-year-old sports commentator appeared on Monday's "Late Night With Seth Meyers", where she said she urged the "Love Story" singer to give Kelce a shot.

Erin Andrews first took credit for playing matchmaker when on her "Calm Down" podcast in late August. At the time, Andrews said she urged Swift, "Please try our friend Travis. He is fantastic!"

More recently, Andrews brought up the topic once again as she appeared on Monday's "Late Night", claiming, "Travis [Kelce] was very open about not getting to meet [Taylor Swift], and so we were just being really candid because we love him. We're good friends of his. And we just were like, 'Taylor, date this guy.'"

Andrews used Kelce's "good looks" as a way to persuade the "Teardrops On My Guitar" singer to give him a shot -- that and the fact that he is "just such a great, great guy."

The sportscaster then said she wants the credit, and "hopes to officiate the wedding. She also stated she wants to "be there when he proposes".

Taylor Swift gave Erin Andrews a subtle shout-out when she appeared at the Kansas City Chiefs game, wearing a Chiefs jacket from Andrews' sports line.

"If you have anything and she puts it on. If you own a Kleenex company and she wipes her nose, it's like, 'Oh my god!' Yeah, this was a huge moment," Andrews said of Swift wearing a jacket from her sports apparel line. Andrews was right as the windbreaker sold out almost immediately after  Swift was spotted wearing it at the game.

The “Bad Blood” singer and the Kansas City Chiefs tight end have been making headlines for a few weeks now, but they just hard-launched their relationship last weekend when they were spotted holding hands on their way to dinner in NYC.

Rumors then began swirling that the new couple is looking to purchase a house together in Kansas City, Missouri, which is where Travis Kelce is from. However, as The Blast previously reported, those rumors are not actually true. So it seems that even though there is a “Love Story” between the two, they are not ready to take the next step in their relationship quite yet.

The good news for those shipping the two is that Travis Kelce is reportedly "very, very happy" dating Swift. Following their most recent NYC date night, a source confirmed with People that “Taylor’s unlike anyone Travis has dated before.”

“It was very unexpected for his friends, but he’s so into her and very, very happy,” the source added. “Some people thought he was just joking around about the bracelet and having a crush on her earlier this summer, but he was serious about it.”

“Everyone’s getting along and seeing how much fun they have together,” the source continued. “They make a very cute couple.”
