Miley Cyrus can now sigh in relief after the court ordered an obsessed fan to stay away from her and her property.
As we reported, the singer filed a restraining order against the allegedly "violent" fan last month, claiming he showed up at her house and attempted to open the front gate.
Miley Cyrus's Stalker Issued A Three-Year-Restraining Order
According to court documents obtained by The Blast, during an October 16 hearing, Cyrus was granted her request for a restraining order to keep this person away.
"After review of the moving papers, and upon consideration of the testimony presented by the (Miley's attorney, the Court rules as follows...(Miley's) Request for a civil harassment restraining order is granted. The court finds that (she) has sustained their burden of proof."
As a result, Cyrus's stalker was issued a restraining order for "a period of three (3) years, and it shall expire on October 16, 2026.
The Blast broke the news that the "Flowers" singer filed a restraining order after the male stalker showed up at her Los Angeles home and tried to access her home. Luckily, he was stopped by her security team, who called the LAPD to remove him from the premises. The fan was, however, not taken in because he didn't successfully break into the singer's property.
After the incident, a background check was run on the individual, revealing a long and violent criminal history. He was accused of arson, burglary, and carjacking, among other charges. Shockingly, the man was recently released from San Quentin California State Prison.
Not only did he show up at her property, but he always sent letters that Cyrus described as sexual and violent. During his time behind bars, he wrote letters to Cyrus and claimed he would commit suicide if the singer didn’t respond to his messages.
"The pattern of behavior demonstrates a mentally disturbed individual who has a dangerous fixation and/or obsession with Ms. Cyrus," the Malibu singer's legal team wrote in their filing.
Luckily, the court system recognized the issues and intervened.
Miley Slammed As 'Disrespectful' By Sister Noah Cyrus
While the "Wrecking Ball" songstress has achieved greatness in her legal battle against her stalker, the same cannot be said for her relationship with her sister.
Days ago, the Disney alum was called out by her sister, Noah Cyrus, for being "disrespectful" during an interview with Joe Rogan. It happened that a clip from Miley's appearance on "The Joe Rogan Experience" resurfaced on TikTok, and Noah caught wind of it.
In the 2020 interview, Rogan asked Miley about Noah growing up in the shadow of "Miley Cyrus/Hannah Montana" and its effect on the now-23-year-old's career. "You either go one way or the other," Miley responded, noting that her younger sibling "wants" a life in the spotlight.
She then talked about Noah's new record at the time, "The End of Everything," calling it "the most depressing EP you’ll ever listen to." Miley then added, "She’s 20 years old. She’s emo. She’s, like, an emo kid."
The "Hannah Montana" alum proceeded to share her worries about Noah's state of mind and belief about her, saying, "She [Noah] has a song where she says, 'My sister's like sunshine / It’ll follow her wherever she goes / But I’m more like a rain cloud.' You know, it’s like, she’s really got this idea of me."
When Rogan interjects, suggesting Noah visit the doctor, Miley replies, "She is. We’re all at the doctor a lot. She’s dealing with it. But she’s only 20, so I worry about her."
The interview didn't sit well with the "July" singer, who proceeded to write in the comment of the TikTok clip, "the disrespect in this video..."
It is no news that Noah has been open about her battle with substance abuse, describing her addiction as a "dark pit, bottomless pit." She has also been vocal about the difficulty of growing up in a famous family.
"I had a really hard time being a part of a public family, and I struggled a bit with that because it wasn't exactly my first choice," she said in an interview. "I had a hard time with people coming up to me and saying, 'Are you Miley Cyrus’s little sister?' or 'Are you Hannah Montana’s little sister?' I did not like that, and it stripped me of my own identity for a long time."
