What Happens If Underwood Is Found Guilty?

If Underwood is charged in court and found guilty, there are a lot of things that can happen. On the extreme, the actor could be jailed for a period of time or fined heavily. On the other hand, he could be asked to attend mandatory counseling and anger management classes alongside participation in domestic violence programs.

The court also typically issues protective orders that prevent him from coming into contact with his victim, whether physically or through other forms of communication.

Underwood might also be expected to submit to the police all firearms within his possession. Violations of this court order can lead to additional criminal charges and possibly a lengthy jail term.
