Gigi Hadid was ambushed by anti-fur protestors when a few “supposed” fans pretended to want to meet the model and then unleashed chaos.
It all went down at Macy’s in NYC where Hadid was doing a meet-and-greet for her new line with Tommy Hilfiger. In the video, you can see a couple young women appear to want an autograph before unfurling signs next to the unsuspecting model that read “Gigi Kills” and “Fur Scum.”
Hadid became aware of the protest, but showed incredible poise as security for the event leapt into action. She was later seen leaving the event with her bodyguard.
Hadid has been criticized by many for wearing fur, as have many other celebs in the fashion world, like Anna Wintour.

The autograph session was a surprise announcement on social media hours before. The protesters were all escorted out of the event, but it’s unclear if any arrests were made.
