Gymnast Nastia Liukin In Skimpy Spandex Stretches In A Field

Olympic gymnast Nastia Liukin may have retired back in 2012, but she's nowhere near done showing off her skillset. The Russian-born former athlete continues to show off her gymnastics edge on social media, and this Instagram share threw in the stretch and a makeshift beam. Using a field fence as a beam, Nastia flaunted her impressive balance and flexibility while rocking a spandex look. Her 1 million+ followers loved the footage and seem to think that Nastia could still compete today. Liukin boasts five Olympic medals, although her IG activities are these days more about brand influencing.

Flaunting her stunning figure as she showed off her trim frame, Nastia made it a Hot Girl Summer in a skintight pair of black cycle shorts forming a strappy bodysuit. Nastia looked gym-ready as she hoisted herself up onto a white-painted fence amid a gorgeous field setting.

Nastia didn't waste time getting down to business. The gymnast lifted one leg up for a showoff arabesque, also delivering her signature gymnast arms moves as she jokingly recreated her past days.

Nastia kept her footage light-hearted, though. She braved including the slight wobble at the end, although the blonde didn't lose her footing. Nastia completed her stylish look with white socks and sneakers, also going glam in dark shades. The APL collaborator wore her light locks swept back into a bun, keeping fuss-free as she enjoyed the sunshine.

In a caption, Nastia told her IG fans: "The wise words of @jason_carl_fox…. you weren’t wrong then, and you’re still not wrong here."

"Genuinely disappointed not to see a flip but also genuinely relieved," one fan replied. Noting Nastia's glittering career, another said: "Me oh be careful, 1 second later wait she's an Olympic gymnast." Nastia was only 22 when she quit pro gymnastics.

Nastia's IG is one giant fashion show. Liukin weaves in brands like Dior and Chanel with activewear labels including Alo Yoga. One thing doesn't change, though. Fans get to see her sizzling frame, including her tiny waist and toned legs.

Of quitting the beam so young, Nastia told The Cut: "I felt so lost for a good year. I gained probably 10 to 20 pounds, because when you stop doing something and just go cold turkey your body doesn’t even know what to do. I finally feel like I’ve found my rhythm again. It takes time to figure out what your body needs and what’s best for you both in nutrition and also fitness."

While Liukin has sparked comments on her weight, she lives by a healthy-minded philosophy her mom shared.

“If you want a cookie, have a cookie.”

"Because then you’re going to get to a point where just like you want ten cookies and you’re going to eat ten. So allow yourself to have that," she added.
