Lisa Cloud, the mother of late actor Angus Cloud, tried to revive the "Euphoria" star using CPR before paramedics arrived on the scene.
According to the autopsy report, there were seven different narcotics found in his system at the time of his death, which had been ruled accidental. The 25-year-old actor overdosed while mourning the death of his father.
Tragically, the report details his mother's struggle to save her son, with the help of a 911 operator.
Angus Cloud's Mother Administered CPR Before Paramedics Arrived
According to a summary of the autopsy report, Angus Cloud's mother entered the actor's bedroom to find him in a chair at his desk. He fell to the floor, unresponsive, when she was trying to wake him. She called 911 and an emergency dispatcher led her through performing CPR before paramedics arrived.
Sadly, the Oakland Fire Department did not even attempt to perform any lifesaving measures due to “obvious signs of death.” He was declared dead, although no signs of drug paraphernalia were noted at the scene. Foul play was immediately ruled out as a cause of death.
Seven Drugs Were Found In The Actor's System
According to the autopsy report obtained by The Blast, there were seven different substances found in his body, along with several metabolites of the same drugs and prescription medications.
Clonazepam is an intermediate to long-acting benzodiazepine hypnotic which is usually used to treat insomnia. It's also used to prevent and treat various seizure disorders.
Alprazolam is a low-dose benzodiazepine used to treat various anxiety disorders. It can also provide short-term relief of anxiety associated with depressive symptoms.
Adderall, or Dexedrine, is a central nervous system stimulant. Amphetamine is also a metabolite of methamphetamine, benzphetamine, and selegiline.
Cocaine And THC Were Also Found In Angus Cloud's System
Many are already familiar with THC, which is found in Marijuana and Cannabis, as well as cocaine. Also known as Benzoylecgonine, it is an inactive metabolite and chemical breakdown product of cocaine. Cocaine is a DEA Schedule II controlled central nervous stimulant drug. Cocaine consumption can create feelings of euphoria and excitement, but it can also result in restlessness, risk-taking, sleep disturbance, and aggression.
Fentanyl, a prescription opioid commonly used as an anesthetic/analgesic, was also found in his system. Fentanyl can be 80 to 200 times as potent as morphine. Most often sold as heroin, symptoms of fentanyl toxicity include severe respiratory depression, muscle rigidity, seizures, hypotension, coma, and death.
The last drug found in his system was Methamphetamine, which is a DEA schedule II stimulant drug capable of causing hallucinations, aggressive behavior, and irrational reactions.
Lisa Cloud Insists Her Son Did Not Purposely Overdose
In a Facebook post published shortly after his passing, Angus Cloud's mother recalled his final moments and insisted that her son did not take his own life, despite what was trending online at the time.
“He was reorganizing his room and placing items around the house with the intent to stay a while in the home he loved,” she recalled. “He spoke of his intent to help provide for his sisters at college, and also help his mom emotionally and financially. He did not intend to end his life. When we hugged goodnight we said how much we loved each other and he said he would see me in the morning.”
She admitted that she didn’t know “if or what he may have put in his body after that. I only know that he put his head on the desk where he was working on art projects, fell asleep, and didn’t wake up.” Lisa went on to say, “We may find out that he overdosed accidentally and tragically, but it’s abundantly clear that he did not intend to check out of this world.”
“His struggles were real. He gave and received so much love and support to and from his tribe. His work in Euphoria became a lightning rod for his generation and opened up a conversation about compassion, loyalty, acceptance, and love,” she continued before shutting down the notion that he had taken his own life.
“Social media posts have suggested his death was intentional. I want you to know that is not the case," she concluded. "To honor his memory, please make random acts of kindness a part of your daily life. Bless your hearts."
