Singer Grimeshas filed another legal case against her ex-boyfriend Elon Musk amid their custody battle for their kids.
The "Player of Games" crooner asked the court to dismiss Musk's custody suit he filed in Texas, claiming the state has no jurisdiction to rule on this custody battle.
As we reported, she had previously filed her own custody lawsuit in California and had taken to X to call out Musk's new girlfriend for blocking her amid claims she was being barred from seeing her son.
Grimes Believes Texas Court Has No Jurisdiction On The Case
Grimes has filed to dismiss the custody lawsuit that was secretly filed against her by her ex, Musk, late last month in Texas.
The tech giant had claimed that his one-year-old kids Tau Techno Mechanicus and Exa Dark Sideræl, whom he shares with the singer, lived in the same home in Texas for a few months this year. Musk also shares a son named X Æ A-Xii with the Canadian artist.
According to Page Six, Grimes has now fired back in a countersuit, claiming that she and her kids had moved out to California in December. She also mentioned that she "had and continues to have no continuing, systematic or minimum contacts with Texas," while Musk has strong ties to California.
On this note, Grimes believes it is out of the court's jurisdiction to sit on the custody battle case between her and Musk.
"The court's assumption of jurisdiction in this proceeding is inappropriate due to the specific facts and circumstances of the parties to this suit and would offend traditional notions of fair play and substantial justice," the "Genesis" singer said in her filing.
Grimes Claims Elon Musk Is Keeping Her Away From Her Son
This comes after Grimes filed her own custody suit in California on September 29, a few days after Musk filed his in Texas.
The contents of the filing were unknown at the time as they were sealed from being viewed by the public. But court documents obtained by Business Insider later revealed that the singer filed for physical custody of her kids and requested a "standard restraining order" against Musk to ensure that the children could not get taken out of California.
Earlier that same month, Grimes had taken to X, formerly known as Twitter, to complain that Musk wasn't letting her see her youngest son. She made the comment in response to a photo of the tech mogul and his new partner, Shivon Zilis, which also featured their twins. The picture was shared by Musk's biographer, Walter Isaacson.

"Tell Shivon to unblock me and tell Elon to let me see my son or plz respond to my lawyer. I have never been allowed to see a photo of these children until this moment, despite the situation utterly ripping my family apart," Grimes said in the now-deleted tweet.
Grimes then shared a few days later that she had been able to reach out to Zilis. She added that the 37-year-old shouldn't be blamed for the tense situation between her and Musk.
Elon Musk's Father Weighs In On The Custody Battle
Meanwhile, Musk's father, Errol, has weighed in on the custody battle and seems to be of the opinion that Griimes should be allowed to be fully involved in the raising of her kids.
"A woman is a very essential part of a home, a woman is the center of the home," the former engineering consultant said. Adding, "The mother is the sun and the rest of the family are the planets. If a father went away for a few weeks, it would make no difference, but a woman is essential."
"A father and two sons living together is not really a family, it's just three men; a mother and two sons is a family," he concluded.
It's now in the hands of a judge.
