Taylor Swift and Papa John's Cook Up Something for Foster Kids: 500 Pizzas!

Taylor Swift just did the cheesiest thing she's ever done, and it was amazing.
The "Look What You Made Me Do" singer gave 2,000 kids and families from the Arizona Association for Foster and Adoptive Parents an exclusive sneak peek this weekend at her upcoming "Reputation" tour with a private concert at the University of Phoenix Stadium. However, the real treat came afterwards when Swift enlisted some local Papa John's locations to bake a ton of pizzas.
The Blast spoke with one of the franchise owners, and he said last Thursday Swift's dad, Scott, called and said "My daughter is in town for her concert and would like to feed 2,200 foster kids and their families." We're told Scott asked about teaming up to donate the pizzas. Apparently Swift's dad has a personal relationship with Papa John's owner, John Schnatter, so the company jumped at the chance to help out.
We're told four restaurants produced a total of 500 large pizzas -- 300 cheese, 100 pepperoni and 100 veggie. The order was so big that it was delivered with the help of three trucks. They also donated 2,500 plates and napkins for the feast.
The price tag on the pies would have been well over $8,000, and we're told Taylor was so grateful for the awesome gesture that she gave tickets to some of pizza employees and their children to come see the real performance this week.
Along with the pies, kids were also given all the brownies, cookies and candy they could eat!
One of the parents, Kelli Dillon, couldn't believe the amazing gesture by Swift and Papa John's, telling us "We all had floor seats so when they opened the doors and let us walk in, there were bowls of candy and cups of ice water for everyone. As much candy as the kids wanted! Then after the show, they brought in thousands of pizzas from papa johns I believe and they also had trays upon trays of brownies, cookies and goodies. It was the sweetest gesture and for all of us (foster and adoptive families) it was an experience they will never forget.”
Papa John's is also giving the families from the Arizona Association for Foster and Adoptive Parents a special promo code for discounts on pizza, good for the rest of the year.
The gesture is just another great thing Swift has provided for her fans, just like the surprise visit to a hospitalized fan over the weekend.
Swift's Reputation Stadium Tour kicks off Tuesday, coming to a city (and maybe a pizza parlor) near you!
