Jada Pinkett Smith is dropping fresh details about her separation from Will Smith and a stunning admission about Chris Rock.

The actress took a trip down memory lane as she reminisced on past interactions between herself and the award-winning comedian, including a romantic attempt. That's right, she claims Rock tried hooking up with her during the same time period.

Will had tongues rolling when he went physical with Rock last year on stage at the 94th Academy Awards on March 27, 2022, after he made comments about Jada's alopecia.

Jada Pinkett Smith Opens Up About Chris Rock Asking Her Out

While Jada and Rock have not spoken since the incident in 2022, the 52-year-old disclosed that the comedian once asked her out on a date. The encounter happened a few years ago as rumors of a divorce between Jada and Will filled the air. The "Girls Trip" actress said:

"I think every summer all the reports would come out that me and Will were getting a divorce. And this particular summer, Chris, he thought that we were getting a divorce. So he called me and basically he was like, I'd love to take you out."

A stunned Jada asked what the" Spiral" actor meant, to which Rock mentioned the divorce rumors. However, Jada quickly debunked the reports, which left Rock "appalled" as he "profusely apologized" for his misunderstanding and approach.

In a new interview promoting her new book "Wonder," Jada revealed that Rock approached her after the slap and tried to apologize for his weird comment on stage as he insisted he "didn't mean any harm." Jada admitted she was not in the mood to address the issue as she said:

"I said, 'I can't talk about this now, Chris. This is some old s---.' I thought this was [about] the Oscar 2016 and … their stuff that they had before I even came into the picture in the late '80s. I've got to leave that to Will and Chris to talk about, but they got their stuff for sure."

On being offended by Rock's comment, the actress admitted she understood the concept of comedy and expression and said:

"I mean, that's what comedians do, I would just have to say that I am not really here to make any judgment on how people decide to express themselves and express their art. I'll say that several times I've had my feelings hurt, for sure. I've had my feelings hurt a lot by Chris. But at the end of the day, too, being in the spotlight, it comes with the territory."

Despite the lack of communication between them, Jada expressed her desire for all misunderstandings to be cleared up so there could be peace.

Guess the rumors Rock referenced were not so false after all. Jada confirmed that she and Will have been separated for about seven years now. The mom of two revealed that when it comes to her relationship with Will, she is still "figuring things out." In her words:

"We've been doing some really heavy-duty work together. We just got deep love for each other, and we are going to figure out what that looks like for us."

Jada and Will tied the knot in 1997 and are proud parents of Jaden and Willow, plus a son, Trey, from Will's previous marriage to Sheree Zampino. Per The Blast, Jada also shared that she initially thought Will going up to slap Rock was all part of a skit and it was only when Wll returned to his seat that she saw how real it was.

However, the separation has nothing on Jada, who reaffirmed her full support for Will throughout his career and future endeavors. The slap caused a 10-year ban for the award-winning actor from the Academy, but Jada said:

"I'm going to be by his side but also allow him to have to figure this out for himself."

The "Reign Over Me" actress also spoke about her struggles with depression, sharing that she began planning her own death after she clocked 40. According to her:

"When I turned 40, I was in so much pain. I couldn't figure a way out besides death. So I made a plan."

While it is undeniable how successful Jada is, the actress shared: "I hit a huge wall — a massive amount of depression. I think that I looked at having outside sources to supplement the voids that I was feeling inside."
