Wednesday morning, CNN reported that Israel has stepped up its offensive in Gaza following Hamas’ surprise attack this past weekend, which has been the result of at least 1,200 casualties and thousands of injuries.

Per their report, "Since Israel began airstrikes on the Palestinian enclave Saturday at least 1,055 people have been killed in Gaza, including hundreds of children, women, and entire families, according to the Palestinian Health Ministry. It said a further 5,184 have been injured."

The Palestinian health ministry in Gaza has warned that hospitals will soon run out of fuel, which is being used to operate generators. Without the fuel and without the generators, it will lead to “catastrophic” conditions in hospitals.

In retaliation for the attacks, Israeli jets have been attacking Gaza with hundreds of airstrikes, which has resulted in destroying homes and neighborhoods, trapping residents as many are now cut off from food and electricity.

“All basic services in Gaza depend on electricity, and it will not be possible to partially operate them with generators due to the prevention of fuel supplies through the Rafah gate,” the government media office said in a statement to CNN.
