'The Bear' Star Jeremy Allen White Agrees To Alcohol Testing For Custody Of His Kids

'The Bear' star Jeremy Allen Whitewill undergo daily alcohol testing in order to get custody time with his children.

According to new legal documents, obtained by The Blast, Allen agreed to the testing as a part of his ongoing divorce from ex-wife, Addison Timlin.

In the filing, the 'Shameless' star will get joint custody of his two children as long as he uses a 'Soberlink' to prove he is not intoxicated around the kids. Obviously, allegations have been made about Allen's drinking, and the actor has agreed to this testing.

Soberlink is a portable professional-grade breathalyzer with wireless connectivity that uses state-of-the-art technology. It includes "built-in safeguards including facial recognition software to ensure that only the person supposed to be tested can use the device."

In other words, he will need to prove his sobriety while having custody of his children. A "positive test" is defined as a test where alcohol is detected.

"Soberlink considers the first test to be a screening test and will prompt (Jeremy) to retest in 15 minutes. Retesting helps determine whether the source of alcohol was due to consumption or accidental exposure (e.g., mouthwash)," it reads.

If the actor tests positive at any time, his "custodial time" will "immediately terminate." White is required to test up to five times a week during the days he has custody of the kids.

As we reported, Timlin filed for divorce in May after over three years of marriage. The duo married in 2019 and share two children.

But, that's not all. The custody arrangement includes Allen agreeing to no less than "two alcoholics anonymous ("AA") meetings each week," along with other therapy.

Addison recently opened up about the divorce, getting candid about raising the kids as a single mom. "Being a single mom is not how I pictured it," she captioned a series of pictures with her kids.

Adding, "It is so f---ing hard. It is all out covered in s--- crying on the floor kicking you in the shins screaming with no sound coming out hard. It's not the natural order of things."

She noted that life as a single parent can be "exhausting" and "lonely" especially when "something magical happens and you have to tell yourself 'don't forget this' because there's no witness by your side. It's so painful. Doing it alone has given me more strength and more empathy and more tears than anything else in my life ever has."

As you know, Jeremy gushed about his wife while accepting a 'Golden Globe' for his role in 'The Bear.'

"Addison Timlin, I love you deep in my bones, thank you for all that you do, thank you for everything that you've done," he said.

Speaking of his children, he told InStyle, "I learn a lot from them. I feel like in a lot of ways, they’re teaching me all the time how to be better: how to be better to them; how to be better to my wife, my friends, my parents, and my sister. I think I’ve been ready to domesticate for a long time, and I’m so happy to be in the house all the time with them."

It should be noted, that this is a temporary agreement and could be changed by the court for a permanent custody order.
