Chef Todd English Sues Housewares Co. After They Tried to Terminate Their Deal

Renowned celebrity chef Todd English claims the company that helped him create a line of cookware tried to end their deal early and now he's suing them for more than half a million dollars.
According to court documents obtained by The Blast, English says he entered into a deal with Hudson Home Group in 2014 for "a line of English-inspired and English and Hudson branded cookware, bakeware, cutlery, kitchen tools, gadgets, and prep."
English says the deal called for him provide certain marketing, promotion and professional services in return for royalties related to sales.
In the lawsuit, English claims he was entitled to minimum guaranteed royalties of $300,000.00 for 2017-18 and $350,000.00 for 2018-19.
But on February 19, 2018, English claims Hudson tried to "wrongfully terminate" the agreement, which he claims puts them in breach of the deal.
English is suing for breach of contract and claims he's owed $560,970.81 in back payments, plus interest and legal fees.
The Blast reached out Hudson Home Group for comment — so far, no word back.
