Ariana Grande and her ex-husband, Dalton Gomez, have finalized their divorce weeks after the singer filed to legally separate from the real estate agent in September.
Court documents obtained by The Blast show that Gomez will receive a huge chunk of money from his ex-wife without spousal support. He will also be given half of the net proceeds from the sale of their Los Angeles home.
Due to a prenuptial agreement, there was not much of a legal fight between the former couple, who were married for two years.
Ariana Grande And Dalton Gomez Finalize Divorce
Ariana Grande and her former husband, Dalton Gomez, have settled their divorce. The Blast can confirm that the "Thank U, Next" singer will pay Gomez a total sum of $1,250,000 up-front without spousal support.
The real estate agent will also be given half of the net proceeds from the sale of their home in Los Angeles, along with Grande covering the cost of his attorney fees.
There were no custody or child support issues between the pair due to the fact that they never had any kids. Also, a prenuptial agreement between the couple made finalizing things easier.
Grande made the move to legally end things with Gomez, filing for divorce on September 18. The duo's separation date was recorded as February 20, 2023, almost three months before speculations surfaced that the former lovers were going their separate ways.
Ariana Grande And Dalton Gomez's Relationship
Following news of their quiet separation, Grande swiftly got rid of her memories with Gomez by deleting all their wedding pictures from her social media page.
Fans were especially stunned by the breakup as Grande celebrated their second wedding anniversary in May by sharing cute throwbacks of her and Gomez with the caption, "I love him so." Those anniversary shots were also wiped off her page.
Grande and Gomez started dating in January 2020, although how they met is unclear. They debuted their romance in the music video for her song "Stuck With You," which featured Justin Bieber.
Almost a year later, they married in an intimate ceremony attended by close friends and family. The ex-couple kept their relationship out of the public eye throughout their time together.
Ariana Grande And Her New Man Ethan Slater
Amid news of her divorce settlement, Grande is reportedly getting cozy in New York City with her new lover, Ethan Slater. According to the Daily Mail, Grande and Slater have taken their relationship to a new level by cohabiting in NYC.
A source claimed to the news outlet at the time, that the "Dangerous Woman" singer is "living with a married man right now while she is still married," highlighting the unique circumstances surrounding their relationships.
Although Grande is now officially divorced from Gomez, Slater and his estranged wife, Lilly Jay, are still legally married.
An insider revealed to Us Weekly that Jay was told of the couple's new living situation by Slater himself. "Ethan informed his friends and soon-to-be ex-wife [Lilly Jay] that he’s living with Ariana full-time in New York," they said.
"They're really happy and really good for each other," the source added. "All of her friends love him."
Ethan Slater Files For Divorce From Lilly Jay
According to TMZ, Slater filed for divorce from his estranged wife, Jay, in New York City. The exact reason for their divorce has yet to be specified.
An earlier report by the publication claimed that Jay felt the actor “abandoned his family” by pursuing his romance with Grande.
Slater and Jay, who got wedded in 2018 and share a son, separated early in the year before the actor formed a connection with the "break up with your girlfriend, i'm bored" singer on the set of the upcoming musical film “Wicked.”
The mother of one was reportedly “upset” that their son “won’t have both his mom and dad around constantly,” as Slater seems to be now focused on his relationship with Grande.
A source also told the news outlet at the time that Slater and Jay were not on “good terms,” as the entire situation had left her “feeling betrayed and heartbroken."
